  • Yeah, the 1 star spam is continuing, and now I am certain I know who is doing it to the new stories. :blob_hmm_two:
Well, beat CodeReactors. The ending was an interesting one, which reflects to the start. The story you play through, was the character’s journey up until the are faced with an option to try to remember.

It was a build up to the form they take in the last battle. It was a twist I feel like I should have expected, but didn’t see coming lol.

    Really good game.

So, there five forms in the game. The last is only available in the final battle. :blob_popcorn:
Ya know, it is always hilarious in these rogue games. When a run specifically wants you to use a certain build. Even though the build, is kinda problematic to use.

This current run in CodeReactors. I got a lightning elemental skill, and a lightning boost artifact. Problem is, despite it being a spear.

Lightning form is okay, but the range is a bit problematic. It is one of the forms I avoid using, despite it giving shock to enemies.

Fire element is like a knight class, lightning is a spear class, ice is a hammer, wind is ninja.

I’d typically use the Knight and Ninja. Ninja is fast in offense and evasion. While knight does wide range attacks, and is pretty fast itself.
Ya know, now that Sony is restructuring. Still don’t expect much from them, but. It had me thinking, could be time with the smaller teams.

Where they can not only do new stuff, but remaster old games like the Dark Cloud series or Shadow Hearts.

So long as they don’t do anything stupid, it should go over fine. :blob_hmm_two:
What is the twist in your series? For mine, the main was supposed to be an abomination, corruption itself. That was a self fulfilling prophecy brought about by the antagonist, who ended up creating the True Enemy.

The main was supposed to be viewed as the greatest sin, forever cursed for their actions. While knowledge over time gets muddied.

By the end of the series, you see how this flipped.
Give your gaming hot take, what game do you think is bad? Or at least mid at best?

For Val’s sake, he won’t mention it by name. It is a nine letter word, Five the first half, four the second half.

It means to Grow old/decline, and it is a small round object that you wear around your finger.

Anyway, what about you lot? :blob_popcorn:
CodeReactors, definitely is worth more than $10. The system while not complex, is pretty deep. Story is interesting, art style is quite good.

Divided into multiple chapters, and for now? Looks like you get a major power up at the end of each chapter.

The card mechanics were thought out well, the mechanics are tight, the battles are fast paced. I’m having more fun now. :blob_popcorn:

I got a build going where it is a fast paced constant chain. Only slightly slowed down due to mana cost. :blob_popcorn:

Each dungeon so far is around 15 floors, not bad.

So first power up gives you access to a boosted state that hastens deck reload, magic output, etc. With different forms based on magic card elements.

Second one when activating the boosted state puts out a barrier that builds shield for a bit of time.

    Nice. :blob_popcorn:

Huh, depending on the majority of the elements in your deck. This influences the form and elemental type of the transformation. :blob_popcorn:
CodeReactors is pretty good. It is a roguelike, with nice 2D animations. It uses a card system for magic, so a deck builder.

While also mixing in action combat, the combos links pretty nice. It also has a parry system, still getting used to that.
