Smut means the more socially accepted version of porn, otherwise you choose mature or adult if you feature sexuality. That is why it has such a low reputation for me. It is the genre of edgy teenagers who don't know better.
Perhaps mature or adult would be better then? Hrm. I don't intend it to be "as many people as possible" more just, "when it's convenient or she feels like it" but.. she's not like to just go around doing it with anything that moves, and, technically, she doesn't "need" to do it to suck out their essence, a kiss will suffice, it just makes it "better" in some way I've not quantified yet.
To be honest, there's really some underlying things that make her whole existence as a Shapeshifting Vampiric Succubus mean something completely different than first apperances. I might have already given it away a bit too early with hinting/foreshadowing due to being too impatient in my writing >.> I wanted to hang onto it a bit longer. Ah well.
Which tag would fit better.. I wonder? Adult or Mature? Or maybe there's another I'm forgetting?

just getting flashbacks to when I worked as a librarian... you could not imagine the furore , people had for Laurell K. Hamilton, saying it shouldn't be in a library, all the while clutching some medical mills and boons. Irony.
vampires,no. but doctors...
Personally, I would say mature. I doubt you targetted audience are adults, but rather growing up people. It indicates that the book treats topics destined for a pubescent audience.
Sorry to wedge in -- but my main issue with Assu is that you are too laconic.
That invites a lot of misunderstanding and misinterpretation of what you mean and want. Most of the time, people jump to worst conclusions because laconic people also seem intimidating. Because they already seem judgmental from the get-go, otherwise they would have elaborated.
I also am going to write smut in my story (because my genre usually implies some of it, especially when the story is such a slowburn. As a gift to the readers for reading for so long). But I would never put the genre "smut" in my books, tbh.
@Freesia.Cutepearl -- depends on what you want! Adult = more edgy, Mature = more dark and in-depth... (from what I heard on the forum).
I got my first rifle at 12 I believe. Hunting license at 14. Age of consent laws are odd. Most of those laws you’re talking about are probably negated by specific age gaps and local restrictions. The alcohol law has more to do with brain development I believe.
And no sex under 18 only applies to one being over 18 and the other being below. Even then it’s gray.
full disclosure, none of my personalities knew how to talk to assurbanipal the first few months of knowing him... I think when assu started using emojis made things clearer
