    For Vita et Mors, currently up to Chapter 5: Unrelenting Resolve(Part 1), is released. At the end, it will be about the half way point in the book.

    As such, it is going to be shifting into the really tragic half. Ain’t gonna spoil it, just gotta suffer. :meowsip:

    As an extra note, keep in mind the chapter titles. Well, all except for chapter 5.4 when that lands.

    Reason being, this one was written after the events and is located in Book 9. Though, it takes place right before Chapter 5.5. This was before I did the rewrite. :meowsip:

    On Royal Road a separate link was done, as to note write that again. Other locations, I provide it right right before Chapter 5.5 rather than linking to another site.

    Reasons like this is why save states are good. Everything was going fine, then you know what happened? An enemy used a transfer ability, and transferred all my characters, instantly getting game over. XD

    The post game final boss is even more B.S. You have to go down five insanely long floors, go through all those bosses and puzzles.

    And the boss has a chance to transfer all your characters. Note, you cannot save at all for this dungeon. ?

    Today was a fun day, so decided I’d make a release a bit early. The conclusion to the fourth chapter of Vita et Mors.

    However, it also means. The tragedy is ramping up even more. :blob_evil:

    Vita et Mors isn’t too long of a book though. 10 chapters, 9 mid point chapters.

    47 Parts, 62.1k words. So given the current point of 16 parts released, getting close to the mid way here.

    So, you ever played a game that had an awesome track, just for it to be a throw away on the most easy boss and never heard again?

    Yeah, Valkyrie Profile 2 had that. Celestial Troupe, which is like a shift into the last phase of the game. However, it was on the most throw away boss, and it is never heard again.

    Yes, it is why it is so disappointing that it is used on the most throw away boss. XD

    The game though, is very tragic. This track hammers that in with the shift.

    The VP series is a tragic series, but it is what I’d say the height on story, system, dungeons, etc. 1 and 2 somehow managed to get it very well all around, which makes it a memorable series.

    Some tips for those who want try VP 2.

    1. Never use the Inn.
    —> Why? To quickly learn skills, the lower the level of party members, the easier it is. So the ideal is to have 3 low levels knocked out and level one at a time.

    2. Get the special weapons. It is a huge grind, but this will make Seraphic Gate bearable. Otherwise, it is a new type of hell.

    3. Special chain, further down the line it goes, the more damage.

    Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. It is a very strategic game, with quite a complex system.

    Another thing about it, each time you beat it, it becomes more difficult. Up to 50 times. I think after the 10th cycle, it becomes completely broken.

    Which completely forces complete strategy. The base game already makes you consider each move, once you reach that point? You better know the system inside and out and then some.

    The game also has insane anti-cheat protection as well. Messing up the process is very easy, and if you do. You’ll be locked out of the game on Chapter 5. ?

    Ya know, I want to rewatch Dragonaut the Resonance. I remember it being a pretty good show, also tragic. However, I also don’t want to rewatch it, in fear of my adult years running.

    It might end up like Toradora. Great in my memory, then my adult years ruined it. :blob_blank:

    Well, I suppose the one thing that remains true. Is that Yu-gi-oh 5D’s is still the best. :blob_sir:

    Not a bad start I would say, 50 readers in 6 days. Well, technically 48. 2 dropped off in like the first 10 minutes of the story launch. Aside from that, this is a decent pull, and it has been transitioning to my overall stuff.

    On another note, getting close to finishing the 20th chapter of my third book. Which leaves 3 more and that one will be done. :blobtaco:

    Playing Valkyrie Profile 2 again, discovered that you can get a Golden Egg from a chicken. Yeah, never knew. That aside, I always noticed the game had too many useless weapons.

    The ones that don’t allow for Special Attacks. These are never worth using, since the Special Attacks more than makes up for the damage. Given the damage chain as well for Special Attacks, those weapons are just there.

    I guess the other issue is with Angel Slayer, it being a reward for when you have nothing else to do. And only 2 attacks.

    While the game is amazing, there were some no doubt bad decisions made.

    On another note, to make Seraphic Gate easier. It is pretty much necessary to get Valkyrie’s Favor and all the optional weapons from when party members leaves.

    I can tell ya, doing it without those weapons is hectic, to the point of near unbearable.

    With them it is still hell, but well, manageable.

    So at this moment, Vita et Mors is released up to Chapter 3.5: A Bright Light.

    With that being stated, what does Vita et Mors translate to? Take this answer straight to the finale when it lands. :meowsip:

    On a special note, there will be a Chapter 5.4. The reason for this, is because on Royal Road, the scene was written after Vita et Mors, but it aligns right before Chapter 5.5.

    So, instead of writing it again, on Royal Road I provided a link. Though, on other platforms, I simply insert it where it needs to go.

    I always found it funny in VP 2. You start off doing like 1, 2, 6 damage. And at like 33 when you get Nibelung Valesti I at the start.

    And then by Seraphic Gate you can do like half a million with Nibelung Valesti III. ?

    And it can go far more into the billions.

    This is like the ultimate power progression.

    How does it go? Sakura does not regain her memories, but the feelings remain. And something about their clones. I remember it ends with Sayoran heading off on another adventure, and Sakura waiting for his return?

    Pokemon: Explorer’s of Sky, still the best Pokemon game to this day. The story, still hits like a damn truck. :blob_teary:

    Oh nice, right now I am using Romstation. Download the game, and then it’ll link to an emulator to download for the game.

    Best part is, that it is one click. So you don’t have to go searching or additional steps.

    Huh, looking at some of my old posts here. Funny how things have changed. Queen of Monsters was removed, Vivere in Ventum likely ain’t gonna be released. It is done, but that thing would require a whole rewrite.

    Same with Gate of Memories.

    How time has flown by. In their place came Solem et Lunam which got a complete rewrite. Vita et Mors, and Azure Night. Which is undergoing a rewrite at the moment.

    Speaking of Valkyrie Profile 2. I started playing it again. I would say I would love a remake of it, but given what happened with Elysium, I think I am fine with it not getting picked up again.

    Honestly though, story wise. I always felt, that if Silmeria and Alicia’s relationship was shown better. It would have been an even stronger story.

    Despite this, it is an excellent game all around.
