But as for Deng Xiaoping not being a revisionist (how tf would you even-), it's enough to open the Chinese constitution, or the current writings of Xi (e.g. the governance of China)
He is very much still trusted and respected. And the CPC is not above admitting the mistakes of their leaders. The cultural revolution has been condemned for example as an erronious policy.

I never said he was a revisionist?

But you did say he was acting against Democratic Kampuchea and supporting malicious govts.

I am pretty sure that was due to Cold War shenanigans, but yes. The history I know is the US and China supported the Khmer Rouge, and Vietnam and the USSR opposed it.

Also this was partially under the cultural revolution.

And before Deng, who was elected in 78 the same year as the Vietnamese invasion.

China (as well as North Korea) did support the Khmer Rouge, and the US literally invaded Cambodia, they did not support them, but supported an anticommunist puppet Lon Nol.

North Vietnam too, the Ho Chi Minh trail went through Cambodia.

I meant under Pol Pot, from 1975-1978. After he was ousted he fled to Thailand then the U.S. Both who thought supporting his leadership would weaken the influence of Vietnam and the USSR respectively.

Speaking of Lan Nol, USSR did recognize his regime as the govt of Cambodia, while China, DPRK, Albania, Cuba etc. did not.

I mean the USSR was largely revisionist after Stalins death.

The Cambodian Genocide happened, and was the main reason Vietnam invaded in the first place.
ThrillingHuman
ThrillingHuman
The Cambodian Genocide did happen, but it was commited by American Imperialists, as well as the reactionary govt of Lon Nol. Plus a lot of slander like that against Stalin.
Here's an intersting article

The genocide myth Is being fabricated in large part by a network that operates out of Bangkok, headed by In
Tam, one of Lon Nol's old cohorts. He controls much of what goes on in the
way of interrogating refugees as they
come across the border, and has even paid up to $50 a shot for some refugees to tell good horror stories to foreigners visiting the camps.

Plus it was South Vietnam who was an agressor. As I've said before, the communists, North Vietnam guerrila troops supported the rouge khmer.

Do you have any modern sources, that is one from 1978? There are declassified documents from the US showing they supported the Khmer Rouge.
