Try eating salami and saltines, 9/10 imo. Make sure to only put as much salami on a cracker as you can eat comfortably, for me I tear each slice in half and put it on top of the cracker before eating.
The sling is both cooler and more fun to use than the slingshot. Yes the slingshot is easier to use and aim, but only to a degree. Also you can make an improvised sling out of most pieces of cloth or clothing.
