Can someone PLZ EXPLAIN to me what with the fixation on this "Five night freddy"??????????????????

I mean, its just a small horror game right ? or did i miss something ???

But the popularity and fanfics,
its like the game was Nier automata masterpiece. Heck i near want to bet that AO3 got likely more fanfics of it than nier (konosuba too doesnt have lot of them to be honest but marvel and yaoi stuff abound A TON)

I grew up on Game Theory and Markiplier, I like listening to people try to figure out the story, and most of the games are fun to watch too. As for fanfic, have never been in the community so ?‍

, however my best guess is that since alot of the community comes from the theory side it isn’t to far of a leap into fan fiction.

What is the deal with the game and the popularity ?
I only saw glimpse in youtube and its simply a escape-horror game, with ugly-as-heck (well its horror) robotic humanoid costume-things

But i often see this stuff EVERYWHERE
and discrepency of the origin product and popular
make me feel people not talk of THIS but 5 night in frenda (similar name) a very sexy game or an anime with ton of potential.

Every game so far with the exception of Security Breach/Ruin and the spin-offs have been resource management, puzzle, and/or a collection of games.

What kind of fanfic can people create for this kind of games??????

Its like telling someone : "hey do you know? Tetris got 538325 doujins about it."

MyHeroacademia, or ANY anime or series, i could understand, but its like Freddy is some kind of 200hours gameplay game with a sad story like Clannad that allow infinite fanfics potential

There is a lot of story/implied story in the games/books. There have been 4 different book series based off the game world, 3 of those were Goosebumps esque and the other a traditional series.
