Watched a youtube video where they talked about stuff people hate in writing. The guy had an interesting take on "info dumps." He said that the problem with info dumps isn't the information, it is the build up. If readers want to know about the information then they won't be complaining about it being an info dump.
Thought that was an interesting way to put it.
There are good info dumps and bad ones.
Its how to do it the most important.
I once read a info dump, where author made it smooth (wording), and funny, and easy to understand with analogies/examples.
Meanwhile, if you get a CHUNK of dry text, nope. (but also bc the theme was meh)
