In the years where religion holds a big sway over the hearts of people, artists circumvent censorship by drawing nude biblical characters and scenes, like the apocryphal Susanna and the Elders.

Skimpy armor on it's own isn't horny, there are multiple ways to not make it horny. However, people usually make it horny. Am I against it? I don't really care, it's not a deal breaker for me, nor am I a fan. I understand why it's like that for you, and I respect your beliefs.

Like the usual argument for that, if peeps don't like it, draw their own designs and submit it.

Oh yeah, speaking of @SailusGebel 's point on horny and nudity, it's not always nudity = horny.

For one, my art style is well-known before to be 'elegant' than 'erotic' even when I draw nudes.

Horny always falls on the onlooker.

I've heard and seen sexually fucked up stories from my students, and I ended up disgusted.

Sure, then why is there an issue with covering them up more?

Depends on the designer. If they want to cover it up, they can do so. If they want to go naked, they can do it as well. If they want burqa style censorship, go ahead.

Point is, it depends on the one looking.

I don't have issues with modest characters looking beautiful.

As for me, I think I made my point; leave my illustrations alone. Don't apply earth-logic to it because it is my work, and I don't apply earth-settings to it.

I just think there is a way to make a characters beautiful while still honoring the integrity and modesty of women.

No, I understand your POV, since I'm also from the same religion and beliefs.

However, this is how I want to do things in my own work. And my characters are not even having sex. What I'm asking is respect for what I draw.

You can keep the integrity and modesty of women even when drawing them naked. It all depends on the artists.

This is also what those pricks from my division told me.

"Anime-style illusts are erotic, so drop your style and do childrens books instead."
