Imagine you climb up a mountain to slay the dragon. Yeah, full plate armor would be very practical. Just like how it was practical during crusades. Nothing is better than getting steamed inside your armor when the dragon's breath narrowly misses you.

No logic in my fantasy? might as well have no consequences for anything characters do.

Dude made the knights of Europe argument against me, and I just told him my classic: I'm the artist. I'm the author. I make my rules.

He was persistent back then and even made a thread. So I blocked the guy.

@Prince_Azmiran_Myrian if that's what the author wants, then who are we to criticize that?

Besides, as in politics, people should learn to apply grey areas, like it's not always limited to two options.

If I say I don't adhere much to logic when it comes to fictions, it doesn't mean I'm totally disregarding it.

Literature and art are creative pursuits. To put laws in those will greatly limit creativity.

And yet, these same whiners complain about isekai copycats.

On the contrary, I think limitations can boost creativity in many ways.

It's your opinion, so I'll respect that.

If you want limitations, you can limit your work, or read works with limitations. But trying to argue one is better than the other when you talk about fantasy is asinine idea. There is a reason why high and low fantasy exists.

I'm not out here trying to force you to limit yourself in such ways.

My point is, don't make it feel like doing what an author like me wanted to write and draw seemed bad.

That guy I blocked did exactly the same, and I was like, wtf? How about I give you the pen and write your own work?

Laissez faire. We know what we're getting into.

Also, wanting scythes as a weapon in your high fantasy =\= No logic in my fantasy? might as well have no consequences for anything characters do.

Trying to equate author's desire to up the COOL factor in imaginary world with forgoing logic or consequence is a wrong move to say the least. How the weapon that protagonist wields matter in creating conflict in the story, or dealing with problems is beyond me.
