Also, with more freedom, you can always organize on your own, like Amish do.

Freedom is a consequence, not the cause.

Seek good and you will have freedom as a consequence.

Freedom is not good by itself.

Nah, even if you seek good other people can restrict your freedom.

If a good person restricts your freedom, then they have good reason for it.

Freedom is good. I would take freedom over "good" rules and regulations. I fully understand the risks that freedom bears, but I am much more afraid of people who control rules and regulations.

I understand where you are coming from, but you live in a somewhat free country. And even then, you see how those in charge of rules change, and you hate it. Even though rules themselves didn't change awfull lot.

It's easy to say how freedom is not good, when you have it.

But what if you were forced to convert to another religion?

Freedom by itself is anarchy. And that is probably one of the worst things that can happen.

As a Vietnamese, whose people been oppressed and dominate by China for 1000 years (ended 1428), and 100 more by the French (ended 1954), then around 10 years by the US (ended 1975 or1973). I would like to understand what's the 'good reason.' and why we breaking out for freedom is bad.
If you think they're really trying to spread the wisdom to undeveloped tribes like they claimed then sincerely fuck you.

What Sailus said. Good looks different to everyone. The ones who forcefully convert you may see their actions as good. Freedom is better than good.

@Prince_Azmiran_Myrian I will repeat my question. Is freedom of religion a bad thing? And what you will do if the state religion is not Christianity?

We obviously should have laws. But there is also a point in time, when TOO many rules and regulations appear. I would prefer to choose my religion, because you don't really choose it. You find it, you start believing. I don't want to get prosecuted for believing in the wrong thing. Which can happen if you don't have enough freedom.

Same as picking your spouse. I don't think freedom of choosing who you fall in love with, is something equally bad as offing a person.

Freedom of religion is a consequence of a good government and society. I would go further and say caused by christian morals.

Right now we are seeing such freedoms endangered because those running the govt are bad and hate christianity.

I would stay Christian no matter what because that is true and good.
