Got into a pretty deep religious conversation the other day and got thinking about how to incorporate world view into my novel…
except I realized that my novel’s religious system is a bit closer to how I perceive reality than I meant to make it, as in my religious beliefs could very, very easily be thrust into it Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe style
When life is hard, just remember your OCs have it worse. Imagine having to fight some angry deities nightmarish monsters because they got annoyed because another deity called instead of texting them and then followed that call up with an email?
In the present, Silnarion stands as grotesque proof of how many ways a human body can break. Still, the visage contained a strange beauty, like that of plucked flower: wilted, doomed, but yet still coveted by others.
I have written my protagonist into a really bad spot and I’m trying to figure out how to get them out of it. Like, they sincerely might die and im just sitting like… huh, maybe they should have been more OP… oh well, coma time for you!
New plot line: MC gets isekai’d, except it turns psychological horror + Truman show half way through. The “villains” that get killed are actually faking it and are just fine, the friends are still friendly but don’t seem to have much actual investment in the supposed “kingdom crisis”
I am the type of person that makes it possible for Superman to comb his hair to the other side and pretend he isn’t Clark Kent, coworker and cubicle inhabitant.
I sit here and go, “Understandable, have a nice day”
Love seeing old men furious over the Taylor Swift + NFL collab. “They’re making a spectacle of it!” Yeah. It’s a game. It’s for entertainment. What do you think the half-time shows are? The Super Bowl commercials?
