I feel that the whole trope of "MC being useless at first try and some dude buzzed in to jeer" is a bit overused. Not the first part, I was already 3/4 expecting it with all that stupid tension. And then the clones seem to be able to excel because they aren't an emotional wreck like MC, which is just... tiresome. -
