:blob_ghost:+1 is always good. Otherwise, your engine is just bad.

going +1 of off a blind draw simply isn't powerfull enough lose out on being able to open hand traps which is already pretty good going first and absoloutly crucial to be able to play going second
Assurbanipal_II

Lol, that is pure rng. That presumes you draw the hand traps in question.

it's not "pure" rng, you derermine the odds in deckbuilding. so bit of a rhetorical question for you, what are you cuting for pot of greed?

:blob_hide: Deck size reduction and consistency increase.

pot of greed is strictly worse than all the in-archetype ones of those you are playing

Reason I loved hearthstone is because of RNG

:blob_ghost: And yet a card like pot of desires saw consistent competitive play since its release.

used to, the only relevent deck curently playing desires is swordsoul and that is stretching what it means to be relevent

:blob_ghost: Quod erat demonstrandum, which makes your claim uninformed at best and uninformed at worst if you base your view on the current meta.

the fact that swordsoul needs to play desires is one of the reasons it is bad

As someone who has tried to keep up completely with Yu-Gi-Oh, I have to agree with Gogo on this. Even over the past few years, pot of desires hasn't been that great. Pot of greed could be limited to 1 and still barely see competitive play with today's meta.

i can word that better. the reasons swordsoul is bad are the same reasons that makes it so swordsoul has to play desires

:blob_ghost: Look, your definition of bad is nonsensical. The only thing I can say is that you have a curious and narrow view of card utility. Not to mention the fact that it is banned makes this entire discussion counterfactual.
gogo7966
gogo7966
any discussion about the viabilty of a card is pointless unless done so from the perspective that you are playing to win and if you are playing to win the only logical thing to do is to play the best deck and while what is the best deck is almost always up in the air but if none of the decks up for contention wants to play a card isn't it safe to say it's bad?
gogo7966
gogo7966
also this isn't about pot of greed being banned or not but deck building theory with pot of greed being the example

thought about a bit more and the fist one of those two comments isn't the correct way to argue about what i'm talking about
