The submission for my writing group today was portal fantasy. It was so weird to see everyone treat like every story I read around here as innovative.

Few years ago I started journaling my opinions on everything I watched and read. I now have 200 pages on a Word document covering: Movies, TV, Fiction, Non-Fiction.
I have finished the second Hyperion book, and I'm sitting here like I just watched a David Lynch movie. How is any rational human being supposed to make heads or tales of this?
