I've been reading a few mtl novels lately, and I realized something. With today's level of mtl and machine learning, mtl can be pretty decent.

How decent an mtl is relate to how good the original author is. Thus, mtl is the second best reflection of an author's skill, aside from knowing the og language.

Batman and Superman switched cities for one day once in a comic.
Batman thinks Metropolis is pretty safe, though there is the occational police fight and the buildings there are too new, rendering his grappling hook useless.
Superman thinks "how tf does Batman put up with this?", the sheer amount of crime and safety violation is too much for him.
