It's hard to tell that my other half is autistic. Then he drinks water by pouring it into his mouth because he can't stand the idea of even his own backwash and it's like "boy..."
I spent 4 hours in a car today and now trying hard to destress but everyone keeps coming in my bedroom and I dropped my french fries and my pop fizzed over my laptop and... I think I should do the human equivalent of turning it off and on again by going to sleep early...
My favorite hobby is rereading things I typed just before bed and realizing I forgot letters, used the wrong words and just look like a discombobulated mess. People still understand what I meant... I think...
Nothing like getting in a cab, watching the driver punch the address into Google maps and the proceeding to drive in the opposite direction that Google maps said. And yes, I ended up late for work.
It's taken going through 6 different translating sites and 2 different MTL sites but I managed to finish reading this story. Apparently, I just need to find difficult to read things in order to keep my hyperactive brain focused. Who knew.
It's always nice to read a story until you realize chrome & adblock is working overtime with the ads. Let's see if this 7% phone battery will last til I go home
Ah, the joys of deciding to read one chapter just before bed only to discover the chapter ends on a cliffhanger and then it's spiraling into a "oops, this actually snagged my attention and I read for 2 hours".
Definitely time to use the sleep as I have work in like 5 hours.
And another weekend goes by where I randomly flip through a couple of things. Reading a story that I'm actually enjoying and I can't even focus long enough to read more than one chapter before I jump to something else.
Told my eldest that as long as she and her sister still live together they need to support one another. Her response?
"What if she becomes a crackhead?"
Reading a novel that has gone through the hands of a bunch of different translators is definitely an interesting experience. First few chapters is always a trial period to figure out the new style and term choices.
