I can't agree more with the idea.
But it's true in some form for every emotion.
Joy and confidence are just the strongest examples.

I also can't agree more.
Especially with chinese novels giving logics/idioms like "Good people dont live long, villains live for milleniums"

Its just.
Villains are "happy" because they dont care of the pain of others.
(and material pleasure)
And "happiness" allow a human to live long. Its the elixir of life. Like a politician said in monochrome tv, he saw a 100y old man, despite drinking/smoking/etc.
