Writing Question - How do you keep track?

Sounds like controlled chaos Like a table with all open plot points and characters listed? I don’t finish my stories before I upload them, I just follow a rough roadmap. That might be why things get a bit messy. Planning too much kind of takes the fun out of writing for me. Awesome. I wish I...

Writing Question - How do you keep track?

I have a question about how you keep track of all the loose threads in your story. You know, for long-running series, there are a lot of unresolved threads hanging around, and we need to keep them in mind when writing new chapters and planning how to resolve them. What I wanted to ask is, what's...

    Feedback on my System novel!

Thanks for the review, I also agree that having the link to the amazon kindle book right at the top is not good, I was thinking of either moving it to the bottom of the chapter or just having it in the synopsis, but haven't decided on it yet. And for the A-a thing, I will try to defend myself...

    feedback?

Absolutely. :) I only started writing again recently, I wrote regularly around four years ago, but stopped posting after my work got stolen. :(

    Feedback on my System novel!

Hi, I'm a new writer and have been posting on this site for a few months. I've posted around 70+ chapters till now. I'd love some feedback on my story, on the characters, and / or everything else. As a non-native English speaker, I sometimes write sentences that, while grammatically correct...

    feedback?

Hi, I'm a new writer and have been posting on this site for a few months. I'd like to know how to get constructive feedback for my story. I've tried asking for feedback at the end of chapters, but no one seems interested in leaving comments. It might be because I don’t have many readers yet...

Should I publish before the whole story is finished?

Yes, absolutely. I also try to have a general direction of where I want the story to go and then just type away.

My traction on SH seems to be about ten times higher than on RR!

I also post on both RR and SH, and yes, I agree, the community here is more active and although I get more views on RR, I get more interaction here. I've also noticed people are review-shy on both sites, so I kind of find it a little frustrating when I need feedback on my stories.

In my not so humble opinion: get feedback, no harems

Genre: Fantasy (Removed the others because you said one :D ) URL: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/1526206/the-insatiable-system/ Feedback Level: 1 Other: My story is a bit of a slow burn, and other than that, nothing else. I would love your honest opinion. Thanks.

    Magic World without Cultivation

Look into soft magic systems, or magic with very restrictive rules. Like needing a pact with a divine to work, or sacrificing items to activate, or only working through certain incantations. You can have a lot of fun with this and also like many of the previous ones suggested, look into classic...

How much real-world science from things like biology physics and chemistry should be brought into fantasy worlds?

The best way to is to have some base rules for your magic or any system you choose to implement and then keep to those rules, IMO it makes the world more immersive.

Question about quoting products in story scenes...?

I think it is best to avoid using any actual brand names, so if I were in your situation, I would just describe the tool by name and not the brand.
