Could someone implement a Not Interested button which would remove that specific story from your view, of course it'll only be for you and not others so long as they didn't mark it as not interested.

Of course, there should also be some kind of way to manage and/or unmark them as well.

You can always create a reading list for "Not interested" and set it to exclude anything from that reading list.

Like if the subject matter of my story offends you and you don't want to see it pop up in the "recently updated" section every week, right?

Probably somewhere around that line. Like an absolute filter for your homepage as a whole. Right?

Could work but is unintuitive and inconvenient. Clicking a button is much simpler.

Also, I think, even if it is a "not interested" list, you would still be considered as a reader by SH which is not what the OP wants.

Yes we need something like this, Right now I just have a reading list called 'Avoided' but I still have to click on the novel to see if its there.

Just create a new reading list and set the list settings to hide it from the home page.

Then add whatever novels you dislike to said list and you should be good to go.

Interesting idea but I would rather have an app version of the site over this given the choice of which comes sooner. RR has this feature and I can't say I've ever felt the need to use it over scrolling the mouse wheel one millimetre further.

You do you. It is not as if you can't just ignore the feature if you want to scroll instead.

Also, it might not be useful for you but that doesn't mean it is not useful for others. I mean, I personally don't care about the app version because I hate using my phone for reading anything other than text messages and comments in Youtube. Does that mean that they should stop developing an app version because I would not be using it? Definitely not. I'm not the only person using the platform and many would find the app version useful.

And it is not as if they can't both create the app version and add this feature at the same time.

Tony's time is limited... He most likely won't go work on adding new things to the site while he works on the app...

Well, one of those things might take precedence in terms of production, but that doesn't mean it can't be brought up that a feature like this would be good to have.

Yeah, pretty much. SH really needs the app.

Still, this is a nice idea that doesn't seem to be that difficult to implement.

Oh, I don't disagree that the feature request is a good one. I never understood why we had to use the work around of creating a Reading List of stuff we're not interested on.

I just meant that he would most likely not work on it while working on the app.
