Alba thought about answering the question but he saw Lisette waved back at the girl on the faraway table. 'She probably knew her right?'

"How about sitting with your friend? It seems like she saved some seats for us."



'Ah.' Then the lady got up from her seat and went to the girl that seems to be avoiding people as she's scared or anxious about something.

Lisette bobbed her head in agreement, and glad that she was able to introduce her new classmate to Veronika. She had started to walk over to the table, listening to Alba’s question, and noticed the student council president get up and go over to the one girl who asked to sit with her and Swir Saturday afternoon.

Oh, it’s that one girl. Shoot, I know Swir said her name, but I can’t think of it at the top of my head!

Lisette said, “If that’s cool with you! Veronika is such a wonderful upperclassman! She’s been my running buddy in the early mornings! And she’s also helping me out with an independent project of mine! She’s so nice, and quite busy too.” She said as she motioned to her talking with the mysterious girl from the other day. “The more the merrier, right?” She perked up and cheekily brought herself over to the table she had been waved over.

There was a gentleman already sitting there, waiting for them to take their seats. “Can we sit with you?” Lisette asked nicely with her brightest smile. (@Nahrenne too)

Swir managed to feel alive enough to get out of bed by noon.

Who was she kidding, it was her stomach that woke her. It was crying out for food.

"Uuuuuuugh..."

Dragging herself to the mirror, Swir groomed herself (horribly), changed outfits (sloppily), and pulled at her facial muscles in order to create a smile (to no avail). She didn't bother trying to mask the eyebags.

Perfect. Now she looked like a walking corpse instead of a buried one.

Then the girl locked her room and made for the cafeteria.

Lisette bobbed her head in agreement, and glad that she was able to introduce her new classmate to Veronika. She had started to walk over to the table, listening to Alba’s question, and noticed the student council president get up and go over to the one girl who asked to sit with her and Swir Saturday afternoon.

It took the girl a while to pile her tray full of food, but after she'd finished, Swir glanced around tiredly for an empty chair, and spotted Lisette.

Trying not to drop her tray, she headed over, hoping there was a seat or two left.

As I was waiting to see if the white-haired boy and Lisette would join us, I noticed the girl I found unconscious on Opening Ceremony day. I was glad to see she seemed to be okay but wanted to know who her assailant had been. As such, I quickly got up from my seat and asked the Secretary to keep the seats safe while I had a quick conversation with the girl.

"Excuse me! You're the girl who had a syringe in her arm and was unconscious in the corridor, right?" I asked with a smile before continuing, "If it's okay to ask, do you remember who attacked you?" I showed genuine worry and concern as I waited for her answer before realising my rudeness.

"Ah, where are my manners? I'm Veronika Taylore, the Student Council President. I unfortunately never found out what your name was that day, would you mind saying?" I smiled congenially as I awaited her response while hoping the Secretary would be welcoming to the First Years if they sat with us.

"Unfortunately, I have no memory of being attacked by someone. Excuse me for being paranoid, I have been keeping my guard up since then just in case it happened again. Constant vigilance, you know? Better be safe than sorry."

I then turned to the white-haired boy, "My name is Veronika Taylore, and am the Student Council President, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." I said with a warm smile.

The Secretary told us that we could sit down, he smiled and the squeal erupted. I was about to ask what was that but he looked at me with the eye of 'Don't talk about that'. I quietly nodded and divided my attention to Veronika as I laid own my food tray on the table.

"Nice to meet you, Mr Stahlburg. How are you finding the Academy so far?" I said with a smile while wondering if the smile/squeal thing was a secret among some boys at this Academy, or something.

While the squeals from some girls nearby went off, Lisette excitedly said: “Swir! Come join us, hang on I’ll grab you a chair!”

She saw that Veronika was chatting with Alba for the moment, and the secretary was smirking about something. It was something even she could not understand, but probably had to do with the squealing.

Regardless, she bounced up and ran to find another close by chair that wasn’t being used. Merely minutes later she came back with her secured cargo in hand. “Here you go!” She happily cheered, and plopped down in her chair.

She was about to recount their first class in enchantments, but then remembered she got slammed in the face with that chalk. She turned to the Secretary who didn’t seem engaged in conversation yet. “Yeah, so today in class I started talking about how much I enjoy Enchantments, right, and then the Professor swoops in with ungodly speed and I get hit with Chalk! That was epic!”

She lifted her bangs up slightly to show the slight red mark slowly blending away. “School is awesome!” Lisette replied, and noticed the Secretary caught between laughing or just cordially smiling.

I caught the tail-end of Lisette's tale while seeing the large red line of a lump on her forehead. I showed concern as I leaned over to lightly rub it, "You poor thing. I forgot to warn you about some of the professors not liking it when people talk in class. I'll be sure to get some ointment for it and give it to you later. Some professors like enchanting their chalk to give a harder impact so the pain remains for longer." I said with a wry smile before finishing the last few bites of my pasta salad.

I then giggled lightly as I remembered what had happened in my second class, "At least you didn't fall asleep and get jolted awake by a lightning spell." As I spoke, the Secretary placed his apple pie on my tray before taking the cereal bar off for himself.

"Ah..."

He looked at me and laughed before biting into the cereal bar.

"...My dessert..."

I tried to cheer up by asking Alba, "How about you? Did you cause any mischief in your lessons?"

“So about that, you know it’s the first day and we should be writing as diligently as we can, and it’s enchantments so I mean I just got carried away, and then when I start losing track I start drawing, and then I start writing sideways over the margins, and then I—” Lisette was the trainwreck. She sputtered with a cute squeak at the end.

She buried her head in her hands. If anything the score looked similar to this:

I looked at how flustered Lisette was, to how smug Alba seemed. I found the little squeak that Lisette gave at the end to be exceptionally cute but knew better than to mention it at this present situation. Checking my watch, I noticed it was close to the end of lunch, and so tapped the Secretary on the shoulder and motioned for the door.

"Although it really does sound like you've been working hard, Lisette...perhaps we should work on how to make efficient notes?" I had eaten the apple pie during the whole time Lisette had been rambling out of panic so only needed to clear my tray away. "It was a tasty pie. Still sad about my cereal bar..."

Getting up from the table, I smiled at Lisette and Alba before saying, "I'll give you my First Year notebook on Enchantments to give you an idea on how to best take notes for that class. I'll be sure to send it to your room at the dormitory. For now, I'm afraid we have to go on our patrol for the afternoon before we have our classes. I hope you have a pain-free afternoon and enjoy the rest of your first day."

The Secretary took my tray away as I looked at Alba and smiled, "Try not to cause other girls to fall under your mischief and keep up the hard work."

I then finally looked at Swir and wondered if she had fallen asleep at the table due to being so quiet, "Hope you had a nice sleep this morning, Swir! May your afternoon be as pleasant."

The Secretary then gently grabbed my arm to indicate we needed to go on our patrol, so I waved to them all before leaving with him. Upon exiting the Cafeteria, I did a big stretch before smiling at the Secretary, "Well, that was incredibly fun! I'll see you at Student Council duties later. Bye!" I waved at him before heading off in the direction of my patrol route, completely missing him staring at my back until I'd turned a corner.

“Ah yes, well I noticed it when he jotted something down—ah but—”

Lisette became more flustered, feeling the stares from her table mates around her. Hearing Veronika talking about her writing techniques for school, and Swir hiding behind her handkerchief, and Alba confirming her worst suspicion about her wacky drawings. She spat out anything that came to mind that she thought would help.

“So about that, you know it’s the first day and we should be writing as diligently as we can, and it’s enchantments so I mean I just got carried away, and then when I start losing track I start drawing, and then I start writing sideways over the margins, and then I—” Lisette was the trainwreck. She sputtered with a cute squeak at the end.

She buried her head in her hands. If anything the score looked similar to this:

Having had her fill of entertainment, Swir decided to give a hand to the floundering girl---

"Well, don't worry about it too much. An enthusiastic girl is very attractive, or so I've been told. After all, it managed to catch the fine young gentleman's attention, no?"

Having had her fill of entertainment, Swir decided to give a hand to the floundering girl---

"Well, don't worry about it too much. An enthusiastic girl is very attractive, or so I've been told. After all, it managed to catch the fine young gentleman's attention, no?"

She had thought she was saved from the teasing, when Veronika had left them with Mr. Secretary at her side. She promised to give her notes on her basic enchantments class to help her organize her own notes, and that was truly the best present of all time, Lisette considered.

She thought back to Veronika’s teasing to Alba, and then when Swir said not to worry about it so much, Lisette visibly calmed. That was until she mentioned Lisette’s enthusiasm could be very attractive. And then bringing that attention to Alba. Lisette looked up in sheer horror and both Swir, and then to Alba remaining at the table before she squeaked once more.

“Eh?????” Lisette squeaked, looking between Swir’s wink to Alba’s reaction. “I couldn’t have possibly—I mean he is hands—never mind!” She waved her hands in front of her as if waving the thought away. How could she get carried away. She could feel the heat rising to her cheeks.

She gave a puppy dog eye to Alba, hoping he’d help save her from further torment.

I looked at how flustered Lisette was, to how smug Alba seemed. I found the little squeak that Lisette gave at the end to be exceptionally cute but knew better than to mention it at this present situation. Checking my watch, I noticed it was close to the end of lunch, and so tapped the Secretary on the shoulder and motioned for the door.

"Although it really does sound like you've been working hard, Lisette...perhaps we should work on how to make efficient notes?" I had eaten the apple pie during the whole time Lisette had been rambling out of panic so only needed to clear my tray away. "It was a tasty pie. Still sad about my cereal bar..."

Getting up from the table, I smiled at Lisette and Alba before saying, "I'll give you my First Year notebook on Enchantments to give you an idea on how to best take notes for that class. I'll be sure to send it to your room at the dormitory. For now, I'm afraid we have to go on our patrol for the afternoon before we have our classes. I hope you have a pain-free afternoon and enjoy the rest of your first day."

The Secretary took my tray away as I looked at Alba and smiled, "Try not to cause other girls to fall under your mischief and keep up the hard work."

I then finally looked at Swir and wondered if she had fallen asleep at the table due to being so quiet, "Hope you had a nice sleep this morning, Swir! May your afternoon be as pleasant."

The Secretary then gently grabbed my arm to indicate we needed to go on our patrol, so I waved to them all before leaving with him. Lisette knew she had been saved the moment he sighed, and bashfully thought: Su-sunflower? Little Sunflower. She beamed at the term of— endearment? Was that what she should call that? It might have been worth the tease for something like this to happened—No, no, no, no, no, keep your head in the game Lisette, for serious, this is an OTOME GAME — but It’s not too bad. Lisette blissfully finished her last bite of fruit with relative ease.

With them only having ten minutes left before lunch ending, she pulled out her schedule from her backpack. “Hrmm, I have Ethics of the Arcane next, and then Combat after that. Sounds like a good way to end the day.” She smiled happily.

“Before we have to head out,” She looked to Swir [ @Bochi ], “How has your first day gone so far Swir? Anything exciting happen to you in class?” She hoped the change of topic would direct the attention away from her.
