I decided having 1,600+ stories in my reading list was excessive, so I tried to hunt down the ones that are 404 to unlist them, but it's a pain in the ass to search each story 1 by 1.

I decided having 1,600+ stories in my reading list was excessive, so I tried to hunt down the ones that are 404 to unlist them, but it's a pain in the ass to search each story 1 by 1.

Why not start reading the ones that are there? Assuming in average each story on the list has 100k words, and you drop 1 in 4 of the stories, it should take you 500-600 days, assuming you are working full time, at my reading speed. If the average word count is lower, if you drop more often, and/or if there any 404 stories that amount should drop sharply.
