You're right, the ones that define what they create are the publishers that set the genres, and the bookstores that sell the books.

Guess what? None of them used your out of place genre, because xuanhuan isn't a thing in Japan.

Just like how Xuanhuan isn't a thing in the West either. (Save for Webnovels from fans of the genre)

That is not an isekai. The character is still alive in his main body, no reincarnation. It is new world so it is like VRMMO where the VRMMO is a real world, super overdone.
this defeats your main point then because aang is still alive no reincarnation

yes but not the same general idea of reincarnation as most isekais of this type are based off of. ATLA reincarnation is based off of buddist beliefs
XUANHUAN REINCARNATION IS BASED ON TAO WHICH IS BUDDHIST ITS THE SAME
