My attempt at a Might versus Magic fight

Not gunna lie, kinda bashful about sharing my work heh but I can't expand or improve by living in a bubble. This is the follow-up chapter I had asked about in the Author General forum a few days back, in short its a duel between a Magic User versus a non-Magic user.

I experimenting with how I wrote the fight scenes with this one. Enjoy, and do share your thoughts on how it fairs

It's quite good! A bit on the long side. The only part I maybe didn't like was the voices "from the stands" interrupting the action to cheer or give advice:

"Reta!" Janette cried out from up top.

"C'mon Reta!" Felix called out, "Remember what you said before about doubting yourself!"

Nyitzcha raised her fist up high. "Make us proud, Nori!"

The scene wasn't what I expected because it felt like Alma the "Magic" fighter was physically more than a match for Reta the "Might" fighter, who mostly ended up winning through sheer resilience / tenacity.

Ah, understanding I thought it helped explain certain actions and magic spells so that the audience could keep up. I'll keep in mind to change that, maybe reduce it so that it doesn't disrupt the flow as much.

Yea very true, Alma was inspired by the traditional Druid spell caster but she's quite capable as a fighter, her style aligns closely to a mix of nature magic and combat. But simplifying the theme to Might vs Magic was more marketable haha
