Alright, let's talk about this.

My series has been showing a 404 error for 6 days. I reported it as a bug, and the only response I got was "Send an email." I sent the emails, but I’ve been ghosted. Meanwhile, my bug report was marked as "Resolved" just because I was told to email you.

I haven't received a single answer, and nothing is fixed. Here are my questions:

1. I know translated works are generally not allowed, but this is MY OWN novel that I translated myself.
Royal Road and AO3 have no problem with this once authorship is verified. Why is it 404 here without any explanation?

2. Even if it’s still not allowed for some reason, is it that hard to send a simple reply to my emails?
Leaving a user’s series at 404 for 6 days while ignoring direct inquiries is unacceptable.

3. I seriously hope this isn't a case where the staff is BEING RACIST and ignoring me just because you only care about native English speakers.
I truly hope that's not the case.

I need an actual fix or at least a proper explanation for this. Stop ghosting me.

It usually took the site owner a week or longer to respond because she is also busy managing another site. Worry not, the long wait is normal. No racism intended.

The staffs you see in the forums have no control over the main site. They are only here to moderate the forum. Only the site owner acting as administrator can manage the stories.

There is only one of her, and there were so many stories mistakenly delisted. She need to check on all of them one by one manually so expect the process to be slow.

This site is a PASSION PROJECT RUN BY A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL. He can only work so much every day. It will take him MONTHS to look through the hundreds of appeals on this site.

Stop calling him a racist. Do you even know what a serious accusation that is? EVERYONE using AI to translate these works is having problems. You are not singled out.

You are not paying anything, so don't act like an entitled Karen and go crazy on the customer support.

Calm down. Your story will get restored, 100%. Just be patient and stop stressing out the owner.

Of course, we're racist here. How else do you expect us to feel superior compared to you ESL plebs? /s(arcasm)

Honest talk here, the site is pretty much an amalgamation of things that shouldn't work together but somehow do. All held together by a single cosmic entity. Give it some time, touch some grass, write more, play some games, take a chill pill, and enjoy the wonders life tends to throw at everyone but me.

Looks like there was an explanation.

Ah, so he violated two core rules.

1. Translation (without permission or prior note)
2. 100% AI-translated.

Might not ever be restored at this rate.

Wow, look at you breathing out racial slurs like a typical monolingual racist. Must be nice having zero talent besides being born into a language.

1. I'm the original author. I guess I need my own permission now? How very 'logical' of you.

2. Oh, I'm so sorry! Being a 'stupid non-native,' I thought those rules were for 'stolen content' or 'AI-generated' crap. I didn't realize translating and editing MY OWN work with AI was such a sin. My bad for not being a 'superior' monolingual like you! /s

It's theirs, so it's fine. Assuming it was noted both here and in their original site that they are posting translation on SH.
Without it, there is no proof of ownership so...

Written and translated are two different things. There is no rule about AI translation (as translating someone else's work is not allowed anyway), and when the original is written by hand, this is basically nothing more than Google Translate on steroids.

After this, I'm highly doubtful it will ever be reinstated.
Oh well. Better luck next time, and invest some stats into your brain, as the world doesn't rotate around you.

All the same, it looks like you got your answer.

Please seek out an alternative for your [self written but a.i. translated novel] needs, good day.

A 'Karen'? Funny. I didn't realize asking for a basic fix after 6 days of silence was being 'entitled.' If the site is so fragile that a simple bug report 'stresses out' the owner, maybe he should hire help instead of relying on white knights like you to silence users."

"I'm the author, my work is original, and the system is broken. That's a fact. Keep crying for your 'cosmic entity' while the rest of us deal with the 404s. I’m done here.

Oh, I forgot. You guys live in those 'developed countries' where even a basic civil service takes a month to process. My bad! As a 'hot-tempered Asian,' I guess I was just too fast for your slow-motion world. Have fun waiting forever while I move on. Cheers

Oh, so sorry! I guess I forgot to max out my 'English stats' because I was too busy putting points into 3 different languages. My bad!

By the way, the original story is in Japanese, and I'm not even a native Japanese speaker either. I suppose being a multilingual author is just too much for a 'monolingual' brain to process. Have fun gatekeeping your little bubble while I go back to my actual readers. Ciao!

This guy is from Japan. Not quite a "non-developed country".

Most people here don't speak English as their main language.

Also, congratulations, you are the most toxic and childish 50+ year old guy I've ever seen.
