If someone is killed we can call that abuse yes, but before the death they were not abused so it doesn’t make sense to cast their life in the shadow of their final moments. But, if they were abused before death then in makes sense, since it is a quality that the shadow did not create.It does not.

It is more the echo of their final agony that haunts the suits rather than their souls. Of course there two exceptions, the puppet and golden Freddy, but the rest have already died and their agony is unaware of their self.Their life didn't end when their body was destroyed.
