Now that the euphoria of Tony banning translations has passed, I can go back to my cave. Before going away I'm going to rant a little bit.
First to readers of translations. How stupid you have to be to think a person can translate 30 chapters a week? Do you have any fucking idea how much it takes to translate from Korean, Japanese, or Chinese? Probably not since you don't even know english, forget second language. You have the audacity to say there is nothing but AI on SH, all while consumig shit by barrels, asking for more. You were fed MTL shat by AI all this time. If you think AI MTL is quality, I can only advise you to stop eating chocolate bars. Because the time when you mix it up with dried up excrements is not near, you have already done it multiple times.
To SHF. I constantly whined how we should report translations. I kept asking, please help the Megathread, kept bringing it up. The response was crickets. Fast forward to today. Once translations got deleted, we can see just how bad the translation situation is. An absurd amount of people sprang up, saying how SH is only good for hosting translations.
No, this doesn't mean that those shiteaters would've somehow transformed into readers of originals. I'm stupid, but not stupid enough to beleive that people who can't tell apart a finger and dick would somehow have the brain capacity to read originals.
What this means, is that my prediction has come true. Those people who only read translations boosted translations only. By doing that, they literally took away spots of authors of originals. You, yes you, author, might've ruminated before, how come I never got to trending, why am I doing so bad here? That's because you were robbed. You were robbed of trending placements, tag rankings, latest update placementes, views, everything.
I said this is going to happen in Translation Megathread, but obviously it was ignored, cause who the fuck was checking that thread before lol. Now that Tony cleaned the original megathread up, my message was deleted as well... only it wasn't the only place where I've voiced my worries.
Vindication is real. The only thing I was wrong about in this particular screenshot is that the authors of originals "would've been drowned". Now I know, it's not "would've been", it's not "will be" as I said in the now deleted megathread reply either. They are drowned now by translators, including those bastards who pose as authors of original while posting AI MTL translations.
I'm not writing this to stroke my ego. I write this to say a simple thing. If you think SH 'won' you have to be a four-year-old kid. This is not a victory. This is a feel good moment. Unless Tony does something like implementing IP bans, translators will take SH over again. Once the 'memory' of the purge fades away, new scummy weasels will spam AI MTL translations.
They will hog authors' spots and views again. Because barely anyone reports. Anonjohn deserves a separate shoutout, I know you are doing your part, don't worry. You are one of the few good ones. Tempokai, the person who probably snapped the camel's back and made Tony act. He reported 80! translations, solo, in the past week or so. His words, not mine. He is The Absoulte Unit, The Unstoppable Force, The Immovable Object. Yet what is going to happen once he is tired, bored, or busy? I wish Tony will do more to help with this problem. Because deleting translations is cool, making fun of people not knowing there are rules on SH is fun, but at the end of the day, it doesn't help authors of originals. Because it's like trying to save a sinking ship with a bucket. The ship is too big for a couple of buckets.
Unless Tony implements some new system, maybe implements a bot that will autoreject new translations, or IP bans translators, I won't come back to reporting novels. I'm tired boss. I ain't coming back to SHF either. I came back for a brief period of time to make fun of entitled cretins. Now that it's done, now that I feel vindicated, I can go away.
Lastly, I hope I'm wrong about translations swarming SH again. I hope Tony works on something that will help SH. Yet if I were to be honest here, this hope is faint.
