I dunno if this is possible, but...

I duuno if this has been requested before but, see, there are authors who do collab with their fellow authors, especially in sharing worlds with their stories. So yeah, this just came into my mind, and I thought it will be fun as well as help in getting some readers to the works.

Is it possible that we have an option to allow the tagging of a story from another author if it shares the same universe? Similar to the 'Story Relationship' feature at the 'Create' section of the main site.

Thanks for considering this!

Totally for this because I've been a part of projects like that before, but the host who published the novel is usually the one who gets all the views. So how do we credit the others if they want a piece of that viewership pie?

Do you mean this?

Or is there a catch to that feature, where you can't tag series from other authors?

Isn't there a fanfiction tag?
This isn't about tags that define the story contents, but the shared universe of authors. For example, if I use a character from, let's say, @Corty , in my own work, my request is that I may be allowed to tag his story as a 'shared universe' in my story page. Current setup only allows us to do that in our own novels.

A stronger example would be Expentio and Saril1489's stories which share a world. While Expentio started alone then got Saril to edit, now they collaborate to both write stories set in the same world, separated by space and occasionally time.

There's no way to list that.

That would require some kind of dynamic tag instead of the general static ones.'
Maybe projects like that should have their own account, with the author profile listing all involved parties and linking to their individual profiles?

For example, if someone wanted to take some of the throwaway characters in Strange Awakening and give them their own stories, I (or someone else) would create a "SparrowVerse" account with all authors taking part listed in the Author Profile (but only one, the person starting the project I would assume, as the "owner" - they'd just share passwords for uploads - or handle uploads themself).

Uh, I think you're taking this way beyond what I originally intended.

I'm only requesting for the allowance to tag another author's story if we shared same universe, just to show the relationship between my story and their story. Perhaps the control that can be given is the permission of said author to allow his/her work to be tagged. No need to share passwords between accounts, or own another account.

And only if this is possible.

Ah! Logically, that should work just like a Fanfiction tag, except you put the other author's screen name or the name of the shared world in the "blank" for the specific Fandom.

And I'd like their story to appear like this on my story page.

While "fandom" tag might work, especially in established universes, what about the lesser known ones? What if these authors talked about a sequel, whetre author A would write main story, and author B would write a sequel with different characters of his own?

No I said it would work LIKE the Fandom tags that list a specific fandom but instead of Fandom (Naruto) or however it appears now, it would be Shared World (OnlyHans).
