Curious. It seems like building a community around yourself as an author is a good way to have a dedicated audience for your works.No. Never created an account for either of those. Why do you ask?
I have like no followers, I get like 1 a month lol. But the artist for my cover reposts my chapter announcements, which leads to a decent bump in views.Does it work? My tumblr doesn't seem to get that much traction

Wondering if anyone has had luck doing it

In return i repost his smut, its a symbiotic relationship.
Fair! But attention is attention. We all want readers, the more the better. The more dedicated the better.I ain't an author; I'm a writer. Me having fanfictions under my name doesn't make me their creator, just someone who wrote more onto somebody else's original work.

My ideal world is one in which my work replaces all religious texts and textbooks. People hang on my every word. Just kidding! Unless...
If you want more traffic, you could try TikTok. I saw it's on trend to put your story there. Most of what I saw was fanfiction and only a handful of originals, though. But it gives more opportunity to expose your story to a wider audience.Fair! But attention is attention. We all want readers, the more the better. The more dedicated the better.

Makes sense. I too write for fun, and also as the first step in my ascension to a an all powerful immortal goddess. Not all of us want attention. Some of us write because it's just fun.

If you're above 18 I'll give you a follow. If you're not, please don't follow me. ?Bluesky yes. not very good. X is a cesspool so i don't go there. Facebook is for the olds lol. I've gotten the most visibility on here. Ream doesnt even wanna read my stuff. I made a non-sexual version of my story as a shortfilm on tiktok and youtube. people seem to like that a little bit but also not very good traction for the low attention span crowd.
way older than 18 lol.If you're above 18 I'll give you a follow. If you're not, please don't follow me. ?

We are perfect delicate snowflakes over on BlueSky.?I cannae be arsed to use either, and being of my particular political persuasion, I'd be banned on bluesky within an hour
There's hashtags and keywords and what not. I find that StarterPacks are how people get a lot of followers. Groups of people to follow based on similar interests.I tried both briefly, though not with my Scribblehub work. Twitter is a mess, as I'm sure you know, hardly worth using it for anything. Bluesky I don't know, maybe I did it wrong (?) but it just seems that the only people who see my posts are my friends and people I often interact with. Plus it's slowly filling up with bots and scammers as well, so I feel like it's got an expiration date. I genuinly don't think I've gotten a single reader through either.
Why does the option of not having those accounts make people like me sound like pretentious douchbags?
I just never made them.
