There is a difference between asking ai to translate your work and asking ai to rewrite it. I’ve read many llm translations, and they are generally readable because llms prioritize keeping the phrasing close to the original. When you ask GenAi to rewrite your sentences, that’s when their sloppy signature tendencies show through and in your case, OP, it’s the latter.
Actually, i dont use it for translastion rather i use it for making the pacing better and helping me to refine grammer thats it. I write all the events and all the plots and all the brutal scenes. I just use it to restrict violence because sometimes I write too much gore

I didnt bro iswtg, english is not my language so I just used it to refine my grammer
Who are you kidding? ? It's a simply gpt generated content. And like all AI users, you are giving the same excuse. And yeah, I am speaking from experience. I am on Webnovel, RR, fanfiction site and an author myself and read enough books to know what's AI slop is. But you do you. ? I am pretty sure you won't be able to get past 50 chs.

You're welcome? I ama ctuly confused with what you're thanking me for. Anyway, I think readers would be more invested in a less simple start. Readers generally like having something to latch onto, something interesting. That's what will get you return readers, at least in my experience.
The best feedback is criticism . I would not let it scar me but make me stronger. Once again thanks for your opinion I would try working up on it

Yeah... Gemini is good with memory, keeping this consistent, but other than that? Look, I don't know for sure, but there are a pair of editors who are freely offering their services to help writers. Maybe check with them in seeing if they also can help with your translation? Just a suggestion. :blob_okay:
Thanks a lot.

Is that a challenge ?

Helping out wherever I can, preventing myself from dying of boredom. :blob_sweat:
I am dying from the reviews lol. The first 1 star dented my story badly
But.... I will start writing ch 11 without Grammer aid or pacing aid guys. I have currently written till ch 10...so are we all on the same page now ?

It's a review and star; more than I've currently got. Think of them as A's for Effort. Receiving a big fat ZERO means nobody bothered to reach out to you in some way, even if it is a slap in the nuts.

Bro...I get it being abandoned is way wrose. But I have been going through some things recently, thats why these things make me feel a bit more gloomy due to which I just thank them for their analysis.

Somewhere... I forget where, I remember somebody saying that sort of mood can be used as fuel for writing. Like venting. Ranting. Screaming at how unfair things are into a world you control. Try that out.

Thank you. I have been making chapter 10. I ama ctuly making the start kind of simple so i can gain readers rather than getting them abandoned.
Is this your first attempt at writing? Great I wish you luck. I will direct you to the new author guide we are building for SH... In fact, here, I have BOLDED the parts about getting readers and word counts.

As for giving it a rating, No.

I am not even going to look at it since it has three actual chapters and a total word count of 3500, including your bonus chapters. You already have some decent advice from others above, so you might want to consider starting again before you get too far.

Also, don't advertise it as a 500 chapter epic when you barely have enough written to make 1, maybe 2 chapters for most works here.

JD's Quick and Dirty Guide to Attracting Readers on SH

1 - Make an Attractive Cover.

Appearance is everything for the initial draw of your readers. Depending on what you are writing about, an attractive woman (or man, or small furry creature from Alpha Centauri, no judgment) on the cover tends to draw more eyes than something plain or abstract, but that will also depend on your target audience... I am weird in that my main work has an old dude in a bathrobe on the cover, yet it still gets a ton of views.

2 - Synopsis

This part cannot be overstated. You need a brief, well-written synopsis about what you are writing. People probably won't even open it up if they don't like what you're 'selling' them, no matter how good your writing is.

3 - Proper Tags for your Novel.

This will be how people even search for what you are writing. Whatever content is in your novel, make sure you add it.

Cool, now you have the basics of getting your readers' foot in the door. Next, let's talk numbers.

4 - Number of Chapters

The vast majority of readers on SH won't even look at a novel with fewer than 100 chapters. Many writers stop writing before that point, leaving their readers hanging high and dry. There seem to be several thresholds readers need to have met before they actually commit to a novel, that I have noticed, anyway. 20, 50, 100, and +150 chapters seem to be rough estimates, with 100 showing the largest boost in views. When my work hit a hundred chapters, I went from 30k views to nearly 90k in less than three weeks. Results may vary.

5 - Word Count

1500-2500 words per chapter seems to be the ideal length people agree on. Any less, and your readers can't really dig into the chapter, any more, and readers might not be able to finish it in one sitting and turn them away. There is more nuance here, but that is the generally accepted amount. I tend to lean towards the 2000-3000 mark myself.

6 - Writing Style

This one is way more subjective, but if you are trying to draw in a broad audience, writing in weird formats will turn your viewers away. Standard novel formats are difficult to read, IMO, since most people read on mobile devices. So, IMO, you should break some of your longer paragraphs up to around 3, maybe 4 sentences at most, to provide some eye relief for your readers. There are other forms of writing that several authors use here and succeed with, such as the onamonapia style, but I don't recommend it myself. That is just my opinion; write however you want.

Finally, we come to my last point;

7 - Actual Content

Is your story any good? Serious question. You may like it, but if it is some niche content, full of grammatical errors, or you have gaping plot holes you could drive a truck through in the first ten chapters, you will find your readers will just drop off like flies. A fall off is normal for numbers of views, as people try out your story and decide it isn't for them, or that they will read it later once you have more chapters.

If you are worried about your content, you can ask in the authors' forum if anyone is willing to read a few chapters and give you their opinions. Most people who are willing to do that are great and will give you honest opinions on your style. Take what they give you and learn from it.

Bonus

8 - Engage with your Readers

If you have people in your comments, congrats! You are lucky, as the vast majority of people on SH are silent readers. Engage with their comments, even if it's just a thank you. If you appear accessible to your readers, you may end up with valuable insights into your writing from their comments.

There ya go, a quick guide for writing here on SH. Good luck!

You said the best feedback is criticism. But now a 1 star review is 'wrose'? Consistency, pls. Also, either way, don't let negative internet energy get to you. It's never personal.

Unless it is scammers or frauds passing another's work off as their own, like the scrapers stealing from overseas. I will use up my personal time to go after those fellas. :blob_hmph:

Just report them, I'll do that as well. Anyway, what Juia said was harsh, but fair. I don't think we need to add more than that.

It's really a little insane to call your story 500 chapter saga after 3 chapters, haha.

Yeah, after dogpiling on the last one, that's pretty much what I'm gonna do... and if I can react, I'm gonna laugh too at the entertainment they provide trying to scam us. :blobspearpeek:

I don't want to be a nag. But I've provided constructive feedback (as best I could) after reading your novel.

If you ignore my advice, that's fine. But look, other members are complaining about your constant request for feedback when you're reluctant to act on it.

Are you trying to embarrass the reviewers who have volunteered their time and thought to help you write better?

Please be more reasonable! Don't make us frown!

what do you think about my cover? I don't want the usual anime style cover or an ai generated shitty image, this is my 8th attempt at creating a cover for this novel
just fixed chap 0,1,2 it will take a lot to fix every chapter and I will probably lose the 10k word achievement, other than that I don't think I can publish tomorrow due to all the chapters I have to fix, but still I feel so much better knowing that what I'm writing can be read the way I meant it to
