Well, your test result is clearly 60/100. Your perception is quite good. Don't look at the score, okay? Two other people also have similar scores... and the average person probably wouldn't stick around until the end of the chapter. Congratulations! :blob_party:

I welcome your criticism and feedback. This chapter was indeed designed to be character-heavy. Even with a lot of characters... if a casual reader can read it in one go and still understand the characters, plot, and conflict, then I think that's the minimum threshold for a fiction to be considered 'readable'. :blob_cookie:

My goal is to write a fictional narrative that is worth reading even by casual readers. And so far... the results are not bad, although there are still some structural weaknesses.

Thank you for your feedback. :blob_aww:

Best regards.

My perception is 'quite good'.. with THAT score? :sweating_profusely:
Ugh! I'm gonna go "PERSONA" myself. :blob_cringe: lol

Edit: I'm curious, are you going to post this as a chapter or is it really just an experiment?
This chapter is actually taken from my series in the signature. You've read one of the chapters I've referenced.

This chapter takes place before the chapter you've read.

I have a principle in writing web novels... new readers can start from any chapter, not always from chapter 1.

So, each chapter ideally can be read as a stand-alone narrative or a thematically connected narrative.

This ultimately influences my writing style (for examples, briefly conveying the context of the story in various chapters that were actually told in previous chapters, write a chapter that can stand alone, etc).

My goal is to narrate fiction that is worth reading even for casual readers who only read once.

I've reviewed your test. The result is... 60/100. Your perception is quite good. Congratulations. :blob_party:

Do you think your memory is like a jellyfish?! Please don't underestimate yourself. This result shows that your perception is quite good.

If this is read by readers who like short video content (fanatically, not just like it)... they probably won't be able to read 1k words.

Not everyone likes to read. If you can read fiction and enjoy it, then you are already on the spectrum above the average literacy of the general public.

Besides, honest feedback is what I'm looking for.

Thank you for your feedback. :blob_aww:

Best regards.
I LOVE reading. In 2022, I finished a 400+ pages book in two days (schooldays btw). But yes, nowadays I feel like my attention span is getting shorter lol. I really need to stop watching reels.

Almost perfect. Your score is 95/100.

The remaining 5 is just an ambiguous impression... who threw Reynard to the ground? The answer is Noire.

Your perception is very good. The ambiguity in your perception... perhaps due to structural narrative deficiencies.

Some other respondents even complained that Sira and Veyna's hair colors are difficult to distinguish because their identities appear simultaneously.

This can be a note to improve my fictional narrative to manage dense characters with providing narrative breaks between character identities.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best regards.

I've been summoned but I'm confused where is this test? I'm not the smartest...
Don't think of this as a test. The results don't affect you. They indicate how well or poorly the narrative structure performs in character-dense scenes.

If the score is low... it may not be the respondent's fault. Rather, it may be a narrative flaw. This feedback is useful for measuring how effectively a narrative is perceived by readers.

In short, it's not you who is judged, but the narrative is judged collectively according to readers' perceptions.

Just try it... wrong or right is normalie. :blob_aww:

Feedback to Measure the Reader's Perception of Character Identifier

Could you help me gauge how readers perceive multiple characters in a chapter? I'd like to know how causal readers identify characters in a narrative.

If you'd like, please follow these instructions:
1. Read only the chapter once below and do not repeat it. Put yourself in the shoes of a causal reader who happened to stumble upon a random chapter in SH's Latest Updates.
2. Answer the questions below (spoiler field below the chapter) honestly according to the format provided.

This feedback is closed-ended. Simply answer the multiple-choice questions briefly after reading the chapter once. Honest answers are what I'm looking for. Thank you for your help.

Best regards.

Since this was all you're asking for, I'll refrain from the critique this time around, but also really should point out that that draft does still need a fair bit of polish as well, and would recommend re-reading it yourself as well.

I appreciate your feedback. The score is 70/100, indicating that the narrative still has structural flaws that affect reader perception. I still have room for improvement.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best regards.

Onee-sama, please bless me with just enough knowledge so that I never have to study again.
Lil bro, it was a novel. That's why I could read 400+ pages in two days. It's been 14 months since I got my textbooks but I haven’t finished reading them all yet. It's not about knowledge but what my interest lies in-nya.
