I have this really cool idea with the rankers in the novel that the reason they are S Rank is because the main antagonists created vessels to be able to land on earth.

To do that, they need physical vessels to inhabit since they are spiritual, so they created souls using a piece of their own souls to create vessels that would grow up and become strong enough so that the main antagonists would possess them and declare war on the ear and spread chaos.

What we thinking? What we thinking?

That sounds more like an origin for a System than just powered individuals - they need to "coax" the potential host to greater heights of power so they will be more likely to survive the possession process without burning out. There may be a risk to the invaders that they get too close to the host and merge instead of conquer too...
