You could make the second one I Became a Tentacle Monster and drop the rest but it’s not really necessary. The other ones I mentioned have a : where it seems like they could drop what comes after the : and still make sense. Yours is pretty short compared to Kitsuna.

1. Use a sensible and unique abbreviation, such as DanMachi, Tensura, Re Zero, etc.
2. Also, some platforms may limit the length of titles. Consider the maximum length allowed for titles.
3. And don't forget... even if your title is unique and long, users are unlikely to type a paragraph-long title into Google's search bar.

Well, honestly, I don't see a problem with either the first or second title. But if you're planning to change the title, consider readers and crawling bots (I checked on chatgpt, your old title is already accessible via AI - but I haven't confirmed SEO on Google and Grok). They might be confused about finding your fiction... if there's a drastic change.

You might consider your second title as an alternate title - rather than a replacement title. Some fiction uses alternate titles for same fiction. My fiction even has 2 alternate titles with different subtitles (but I keep the main title).

Yeah, that's a great point. My story titles are short and clever, but are probably why 90% of the traffic my stories draw is quite literally people going through the sorted list of tags and finding my stuff instead of showing up in search results. On the other hand, I'm not sure if I want to change my story titles either, since I like them.
