If I want to read a story about a character with depression and search for the tag Depression, I will get a depressive psychological tragedy story.
I know it's part of depression being moody and it's our culture and media's fault for playing Depression as a life-ending thing, instead of a hurdle of many people's lives.
So, instead of me having a Depression tag in my novel, not having a character killing themselves in the first chapter, and someone drop the story, there should be a Neurodivergent Characters/Protagonist.

Quoting my friend Google and the first site that caught its algorithm:
Being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently from the average or “neurotypical” person. This may be differences in social preferences, ways of learning, ways of communicating and/or ways of perceiving the environment.

Thanks.

Bumping from the grave to ask for this tag.

There is an "autism" tag but many of the settings in stories here don't fit with modern classification of autism/ADHD/depression/cPTSD yet feature characters who would be recognizable to anyone familiar with the symptoms.

Yes. I was looking for a tag like this when posting my story.

Adding my vote to this. The "Autism" tag is alright, but could better be presented as "Autistic Characters", though simply a generalized "Neuro-divergent characters" tag would be a huge boon, especially for those who include such characters in our stories.

My support would be for REPLACING the Autism tag with "Neurodivergent Characters" or "Neurodivergent MC" instead of a new tag myself.
