Why did you name yourself that ridiculous- i mean glorious name?

I'm sloth! :D

I'm think I'm warm, and sweet, though, some people would say I'm a little spicy, but I feel I'm pretty down to earth most times; Kinda like cinnamon.
But mostly, I'm just useless. Hence the name. Yippie!! That's it.

胖 (pàng) = fat/chubby (has a cuter connotation in this context)
咪哒 (mī da) = a fun variation of my IRL nickname 咪咪 (mimi), which means kitty.

So basically, my name is chubby Mida. It's meant to be a fun, cute username, not self-deprecating. Although...

I'm Avarice of the seven!

I named myself this just to sound COOL! There is no other reason!
I saw this word 'Avarice' so many times in so many series like Overlord(Evil Lord of Avarice), Solo Leveling (something~something~ Avarice), And The Eminence In Shadow (The Eye Of Avarice). I thought 'this word sounds cool'
'Avarice' means 'Greed' of the seven deadly sins. Which is also somewhat cool.

But 'Avarice' alone will sound too common so I added that 'Of The Seven' part to make it cooler and unique.

But does this name have relevance to me? Well, it's the exact opposite of my personality. (I'm not greedy at all, I think).
But if I had to justify myself then it would go something like this;

'Greed is the very building block of human nature. The human civilization is where it is because the humans were greedy for progress and whatever, otherwise.
Avarice = Desire
Desire = humans
humans = me
Avarice = me (hehe)'

Well, technically I'm not a sin of sloth type either, I have a lot of work, and obligations to/for other people that keep me busy. I'm more of a sloth when it comes to my own well being though; choosing to work over self care. lol

It's... not the happiest origin.

It's a play of my real name, and also a nickname from my parents. They're very strict and competitive, and uhh they reaaaaally wanted me to excel in academics. Which I tried! But um, problem is I had a lot of 'issues' that went undiagnosed because mom and dad didn't want to hear it or believe it all those fancy terms they would just say are excuses for me being lazy or bad at school. I couldn't read well early on, I learned that the hard way when they entered me in the spelling bee and i misspelled miscellaneous in front of the school heh. I could go on but it's not very pleasant stuff cuz it only got worse from theree.

Anywho, they called me Sylver to play off the word Silver, because its the award i got from that spelling bee in the second grade. Always in second place winning silver but never gold. I can still hear moms voice saying that to me but my therapist years back told me not to run away from these things, but to challenge them instead. To take control of my life instead of letting them dictate what i can do, who i can be friends with, who i can date and so on.

So, here I am! And you know what, the nickname kind of grew on me. It's not so bad when I decide to be Sylver for a change

I pretty much have the name because parents also. Being called a demon, and spawn of satan, or being "worthless" because I wouldn't be having grandbabies, going to church, or falling into social norms with my current lifestyle etc etc and that didn't align with their personal views. I'm pretty much alone at this point. So, no worries about not having the best of origins. I think we're all pretty messed up here.
