Is a shield and defensive, yet he throws at people like a Frisbee and decapitates robots, so act as offensive weapon...

And can you think of other things that are like that? offensive in design but use as defensive gear, or other way around, defensive gear used as offensive items

Swords are really the only other one that immediately pops into my mind besides shields.
Sure, you can use a sword for attack, but most swordfights usually involve a lot of parrying and blocking as well.
There's also that awesome scene in the Fellowship of the Ring movie where Aragorn deflects a knife that's thrown at him, so I guess you could do something like that with a lot of luck or plot armor on your side.

I like to see a catapult intercepting trebuchet.
Hurling rock to stop other rocks.

What about transforming an arrow into a supersonic attack with nuclear-level explosive power? It sounds ridiculous, but the Fate series offers this fantasy. Well, it's an ultimate attack that costs the user their life. So, it's not without sacrifice.

I was thinking more like opposit gear, like gun that shoots healing bullets.

Well, in my fiction, I make arrows a kind of sleeping pill. The archer launches an arrow that creates an area-of-effect mist of sleep, causing the opponents to surrender without any significant resistance. Of course, there's a counter: the opponents must injure themselves and allow the pain to maintain their consciousness.

I mean, are you asking for ideas, or actual cases in fiction? Actual fiction, one that comes to mind is the kid with the scalpel Shikai from Bleach who can heal wounds by cutting people. Off the top of my head for a random idea, I was thinking a spear with a fiber glass handle and molten metal inside, it would essentially trap their weapons against yours if they attack the handle at all.

Armor is supposed to be defensive but once you load it with missiles like Iron Man or Full Armor Gundam, shit hits hard.

This is so strangely worded for a thread.
I get what OP means, but 'offensive' can be misinterpreted since the shield itself is seen as a patriotic symbol.
With that said.

Please keep the thread off politics. I am deleting the few comments that are clearly political.

I thought, "man, i should word it in a way that it won't be misinterpreted... OR! I could lean in to it."

My intrusive thought won that day. It was funny... for me... :sweating_profusely: .. on that day... :blob_melt:
