I would say this can be found in at least 99.9% of all houses worldwide. I really think every house has to have one. It would be a little terrifying to be in a house that didn't have at least one.

DING!!!!!! In particular a book called "Strange Crime". I heartily recommend it for history buffs.
I knew that house related clue was misleading. What does books have to do with houses? And I could think of so many houses that wouldn't have physical books. My own house didn't have physical books at one point in time (I had once bought tablet specifically for reading all books and gave all my physical books to my sister)

You said that it would be terrifying, not that you would be upset. And 99.9% is basically every house leaving aside that 0.1 percent reserved for exceptions. ( I began thinking that if you were made to live in a house without it then it would make living in that house terrifying, which caused your house clue to become even more misleading.)
I don't honestly think this was misleading at all. Physical books can be found in most houses around the world, yes, probably 99% of them is a VERY accurate estimate. I would find it terrifying if a house didn't have at least one book, which means I would be upset about it. I'm an ex-librarian.

Books are important for your soul's survival. Every household should have at least one.
