Mhm, been making a cover. Can't figure out how to place the title and author name with fonts and colors.

XXXXXXXX XX XXXXXXXXXXXXX: XX XXX XXXXX XXXXXX XXX!

Fantasy, parody. Comedy.

Where do people get all the fancy fonts from? Do you have any covers I can get inspiration from?

From Photoshop or by downloading and importing aesthetic fonts. Use Photoshop to edit fonts!

For illustrations, you can create them using AI, draw them yourself, or commission a paid artist.

If a picture with characters or action is used as a background, then a plain place is usually allocated for the inscriptions. The classic is a white font with a small shadow. Preferably, without a outline. Then you can experiment according to the situation.
It is better to generate the font separately as a black and white image in the appropriate style. It will be easier to add it to the picture or recolor it. Or you can assemble them from suitable squiggles.

I personally use Krita, mixing my own drawings with Stable Diffusion integrated into it. It is hardware-demanding, though, so if you have a good PC, you might want to try it. I think dark backgrounds with white or lighter text work best. If not, I add glow and shadow effects. CG Omega is a good font.

One of my novels' titles is also long, so I worked around it by doing this...

10) Volume 10 Cover (100 px).jpg

20) Volume 20 Cover (100 px).jpg

15) Volume 15 Cover (100 px).jpg

3) Volume 3 Cover (100 px).jpg

9) Volume 9 Cover (100 px).jpg

NGL, sometimes, I get called out by some rando online because according to them, "Your title placing is confusing!" but IDGAF. It's my story. It's my art. I do as I please.

Now, for font styles, dafont is my go to.

Alright, time to try this.

Actually, I'm can make illustrations myself. I just can't figure out the font thing.

These are absolutely stunning. I realised it doesn’t matter how I write as long as it looks cool.

Makes sense.

Thanks! I'll try it.

I don't have a PC, but it sounds efficient, though.

Canva! Free website (though you can unlock more with premium), lots of fancyfonts and styles, and many examples of book covers you can look at. That’s what I use. But I got overwhelmed by all the options so I went the simpler route with my cover.

As much as I like Hans's covers, the font he used is not particularly unique or suitable for webnovels. Seems like they were inspired by Japanese Light Novels.

You want something really vibrant and preferably in a larger font, so people can read it even when your story shows up under "Updated."

People rarely look at your full-sized cover. They only get to see it in a tiny size.

AI works wonders for custom fonts, especially if you combine multiple sites. Ideogram and GPT work pretty well! You just need images with transparent backgrounds. You can simply use Canva to combine your custom font with your cover.
