Copying My Own Work

I write a chapter in Word, proofread it, and then post it on here. This is the easiest way to edit it for me.

However, my laptop died, and I cannot access it any more. So, the saved copy that I found online went to Chapter 15 of 363.

So, my question is: Is there a way to bulk copy your own work into another document, or do you have to do it one-by-one?

You're talking of this site? AFAIK, there is none, because I made a similar mistake of not backing up my works on cloud. You'll have to copy your chapters one by one.

I use Docs, write on a phone. So I don't have any advice. That said, since I write on Docs, I can always log in from any device on earth and still start writing from where I had left off. I then directly copy and paste it on the site. I keep it draft and it stays here for until I post it. As long as you know the password, you can post it from any device.

Damn. I was afraid of that. Thank you.

I thought I was saving to the D:\ drive on my laptop, which has since died. I tried to move the drive to my new laptop physically, but there was no port to move it to. I thought that I was also saving to my OneDrive, but that was wrong, too.

Thank you for the advice.

I feel like someone made a Chrome extension that let Authors post their work on SH and RR at the same time. I forgot who posted it on the forums. I kinda wanted to check it out.
Found the OP.

Don't know if this thing will help.

If the drive itself is still good, you can turn it into an external drive. Even if you don't need an external drive, it could allow you to access the data there, assuming it was not encrypted, and you can get a basic enclosure fairly cheap.

There's an extension called WebtoEpub that will let you download all the chapters into an .epub file. You could then potentially try to convert that into a .doc or .docx? I've never attempted to do that but it might be worth a shot.
