Just 4 readers ?‍♂️

Hi everyone, for about a month, I guess, have been writing on SH and for some reason I only have 4 readers...3 in fact.

I can not seem to understand why this is the case, for I began writing this novel thinking am doing something really cool but only to be hit with this heart crushing reality.

Worse still, the story is likely to finish next week and with nothing to show for ...Am freaking out.

What do you think might be the case?

I see two problems. You don't number your chapters. And your story is very short. Readers prefer longer stories they can binge.

So numbering is cardinal? Ok I see. As for it being short, that is not what I initially planned. I was to write atleast 800 chapters but unfortunately or fortunately, out of nowhere I got awarded a student loan and I had to cancel my plans and just decided to complete one short arc.
