I began posting my story a month ago. The start was really good. Lots of readers with the release of each chapter. However, after hitting 100 readers, the views and new readers stagnated. Any reason why? Is it simply because of my slow chapter release?

Afraid so. Most people have to update at least twice a week to keep up appearances. Readers are hungry; and if they don't see enough from you too soon, they lose interest and "change the channel".

You might also have the binge reader segment. I fall into that category as I like to read a few chapters at once rather than 'x amount per week' or having to wait several days between chapters. So I wait for a while until I get a good backlog then read through at whatever pace I want.

I forgot about the binge readers, lol.

My followers have stopped and I wasn't really consistent with my posting. But I'm happy with my current readers. Having a backlog is good advice. Now, that I'm done with my LitRPG Webnovel I'm gonna focus on reading my favorite genres.

Don't look at analytics.. just keep writing, they'll come back sooner, or later. people get busy. and for most of the world, they only get time to sit, relax, and take the time to read a few minutes every other blue moon.

Thanks for the reply all!
While it was slightly discouraging to see the stagnation, I will continue to write and hope for the best.

That's pretty typical unless you somehow hit Trending during those first weeks (that tends to double your current readers for a short while - at least given the three hours I was on the list for way back when). You should see a spike if you hit 20 chapters, another at 50, and another if you make it to 100 or Complete the story before getting that far.

You have less than 25 chapters... so over 100 readers is already quite good. If you upload at your current pace, I don't think you can expect many more readers. Your Ratio of Readers / Chapters is quite decent! Just keep on writing.

If you are concerned with readers, I would suggest shortening your chapters. Your average is 2.3k words, which is a lot for SH standards.

Might want to split your chapters into two parts, thus giving you twice the amount of clicks/chances for new readers to find your story.
