What is a normal chapter release schedule for a web novel?

So, here's the thing. It's my first time writing a novel and I am determined to complete this novel.

My novel will probably have more than 500 chapter and it could even go on for more than 1000 chapters.
What is the normal chapter release schedule that I should follow?

I mean, everywhere there are different standards for it. like on Webnovel, you are recommended to post 2 chapters a day while on Tapas you are recommended to release only 2-3 chapters a week. And I don't even know what is recommended for Scribble Hub and Royal Road.

My current release schedule is one chapter a day but I think I can improve the chapter quality by a lot if I release one chapter every two or three days.
But if I do that then it would take god knows how long before my novel is completed.
I will probably grow old by the time I finish writing it.

My story involves many things but at it's core, it is a dual protagonist reincarnation story.

So the point of this thread is, what is a normal release schedule for my web novel?

I am currently posting it on Webnovel, Scribble Hub, Royal Road and will start posting on Tapas as well once I have 15 chapters or more ready.

Give me your advice.

Know what? Don't prioritize on your backlogs; develop a routine instead, if you're planning a lengthy series. Readers appreciate consistent authors, even with irregular schedules.

Meaning, it doesn't matter much if you release something every Sunday or Saturday, as long as they know you will release something in the near future.

While backlogs will help, routine is what will keep you writing to the end.

Personally, I can only write a maximum of 2 chapters per day (1 chapter = 1,500 - 2,000+ words). Realistically, I only update 1-3 chapters per week. The important thing is consistency.

Well as for me, I am also a new writer.

I don't know if I can give the best advice though, but for me I usually just write 2 chapters a day. Another thing you should look out for though is consistency and quality.

The best advice I can give you is: Writing at your own pace as long as it doesn't break your fingers or reduce the quality of the book.

Me, for instance, I'm a freshman at University right now and I use my free time during the evening (around 5-7) to write and then by 8 I edit. Although sometimes, I might not be able to meet up to the threshold.

In summary, just write at your own pace as long as it doesn't affect the quality of the book or the consistency of your writing.??

My chapter length is around 1500 - 1800 words.

I started out with 7 + 1-3 bonus chapters per week.
Then I started a second series, so I released 14 chapters per week... nearly had a total burnout and reduced it to 5 + 5 = 10 a week.
Nowadays, it's around 4 + 4 = 8 a week, and I can barely handle that.

I'd say it all depends on what your goals are! If you write just because you like it and want to enjoy yourself, it doesn't matter. If you seriously plan to reach a wide audience, you should at least release 3 to 4 chapters a week.
Specifically for Scribble Hub, it's a viable strategy to post shorter chapters, so you could cut your 3-4 chapters in half and call them part1/part 2 and try to release daily.

Personally, I refuse to release anything below 1.5k words, though, but on Scribble Hub, people are fine, even if it's just 1k words. Anything lower than that, though, and people will just be pissed off.

It depends. I was writing a long-running series that I had planned to take to 100-200 chapters. I tried to write until I had ~4-6 weeks of content in my backlog, then began publishing. For that series, I was publishing every M/W/F.

For other projects (most of my recent stuff), where I'm looking at 20-40 chapters in total, I'll write almost all of the work and then queue it up to publish at whatever seems appropriate. These days, I've been doing one chapter a day, M-F.

At the same time, I love reading series where the author only publishes once a week. The main thing - for me as a reader - is if I click on your book's page, will I see a consistent list of chapters at a predictable interval? Or will I see something much more haphazard, that indicates you write in bursts and then have lengthy dry spells with no backlog to smooth out the curves? I just want to know that I'm going to be engaged for a long time reading your work, and that you've got a plan to ensure I stick around.
