Human-formed pets?

If one day your pet animals turn into human form, will the dynamic between your relationship change? Will you treat her differently?

If you wake up and your pet dog/ cat/ parrot/ pony/ beetle/ lizard changes into human form, what will you do?

What is the extent of the transformation? Is my pet suddenly like... I dunno, a beastfolk from some fantasy world, with the brains to be a human now? Or is it just my dog in a human body?....

Cause if it is the 2nd one... that is honestly going to cause problems... like teaching them not to pee outside, but in a toilet... or the fact it will seem like I am keeping someone hostage in my house for their own safety... God, and it will be awkward if me and my significant other are ever in bed and suddenly there is a head looking over the side of the bed at us.... or crawls in between us....

Oh, and does the cat still have the 3 am zoomies?

Pet suddenly in human body. It has a little understanding of human society common sense but it behaves like its old self. You can teach it to adapt.

Well as cool as that would be... it would be an administrative nightmare getting them an ID, training, and well anything.... If it was a dog, at least it would be devoted to you no matter what due to their pack nature... but yeah... I would probably freak the fuck out if I am honest cause life just got really complicated... no more cheap ass kibbles and bits, I am now responsible for a fully grown ass human.

you can teach them to be responsible adult or you can just treat them like you used to. It's just their appearance.

If its the cat who's taken to sleeping on top of me at night, I'm going to have to do a lot of explaining to my wife - unless her "stalker kitty" has also turned human, then we're both going to have to deal with some uncofortable decisions. The other cat already acts like an entitled teen so probably wouldn't be very different. The old lady dog ... would just be even sadder than she is. The other dog? Now maybe we could reason with the crazy beast at times...
