I'd like to participate in the event, but I'm not sure I qualify. The event requires a completed story to be at least 55,000 words (possibly more). My story is a series designed to have multiple volumes. At 55,000 words, I'd only finish half or a volume at most.

Exposure is key.

The SH forums isn't the best place for exposure. It's getting (if you can pull it off) a chapter a day out until you get into the 25 to 30 chapter range, which I see you have around 48, but you still are struggling to get readers. If you aren't getting an audience by now, then your book might not be resonating with the audience on SH.

Another issue that you are running into is your cover. It's AI so that's going to drive readers away on SH. Plus, I think it's on the bland side.

And for reading your work is a challenging task in my life. I barely have time for my own work, let alone reading another's work.
