Well, you're only seeing one side and turning a blind eye to the other. I don't deny the existence of anarchist protesters, but oftentimes, their anarchy stems from the arrogance of the authorities (especially the police, who are supposed to enforce order) and the government's indifference to "listening" to the people. Violence is never justified, but perhaps for some, it's a way to express genuine pain. Furthermore, many protesters remain orderly. So, you can't generalise protesters as anarchists.
He was describing Luffy, the MC from One Piece. Not calling all protesters anarchists.

That's pretty cool, actually. You know you've made it when your fictional guild-type organization enters the real world.

Before the thread closes, I might as well get my whole spiel in :sweating_profusely:
All around this world. If something happens to Oda or One Piece I will blame them for ruining it.
This just reeks of concern trolling, though I'm not necessarily saying it's deliberate. You might actually just be like this, so I'm saying this in case you're open to discussion (I understand these forums aren't exactly the place for high brow political discourse) :blob_dizzy:

You're basically dismissing the collective struggle and resistance of millions of people from numerous countries by fixating on this unfounded concern over the safety of Oda and his IP. Do you think Madagascar's president-in-exile is gonna do something to a millionaire comic artist in Japan? :blob_unsure:

Make your movements your own and don’t appropriate symbols from the media. Just look what 4chan did to the Guy Fawkes mask. I can't watch Vendetta anymore without thinking of fat slobbering fucks in their mom’s basement.

Your comments are the biggest keyboard warrior cringe in this thread anyway, smelling from high-intellectual cosplaying.

Why not? And it's not like the flag's the only symbol, but it is an easily communicable one. That's why it's spread.

Sounds like a you problem

My bad, I'll refrain from replying genuinely to things next time.

IIRC that's most of the threads they make.

There are, I think, 2 other people that does it. But I sometimes think they are just the same person on different accounts.
That's how it is here. Some guys posting threads about barely disguised view of politics so that some similar guys can "heheheh" with themselves, but it never happens cause the other side who believes in 'huh' doesn't let it, so the "heheheh" guys can only say, "man why does these threads always end up like this."

I'll be honest, I just think the OP doesn't want people associating fun fiction with a political cause. I remember during a certain writers' strike where innocent streamers wanted to play a video game about magic and wizards and they kept getting attacked by a certain community. Wanting to protect a fandom doesn't make a person right-wing or left-wing.

As for me going...
Why must all the good threads be closed? :blob_teary:
... therefore that was me going "man why does these threads always end up like this" It has nothing to do with politics; the last thread I was in that got locked was about a guy getting upset when he was blocked by an author and everyone noticing that he would spam bad ratings and reviews (yeah, no duh that the authors wanted nothing to do with him). All I meant was that threads that get tons of engagement are more likely to get locked.

Sorry for misunderstanding you then.

But I just think it's stupid for someone to post a thread about "man, why does x have to be used in politics" in a forum where its users are infamously known to never respect the no politics rule, especially when it's related to real life events.

A willfully ignorant guy or a ragebaiter? It's an obvious answer like many previously locked threads.

I'd rather see these threads be pushed back from users with different political belief and get locked than letting it to go unopposed and get locked. Because in the latter case, if you let things be, suddenly, there will be another interpretation of the no politics rule.

I bet you my signed MJ holographic card (may or may not be real) that 99% of users, right in this thread, have never once read the forum rules either.
'Previous' in the quote... You read my atrociously full of typo reply ?
