I know that there are many strategies when posting a new story--a couple that seem consistent across platforms is multiple chapter release for first day and shout outs, but I was wondering what else people do.

General strategy for releasing a story:
(1) Release chapters regularly, 2-4 chapters per week.
(2) Try to release them on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, when the days are relatively free.
(3) If you want to reach a wider readership, you can release during prime times, usually in the morning (5:00-9:00) or night (19:00-21:00). However, you risk competing with mainstream novels and reducing your homepage exposure (usually your novel will only last 30 minutes on the homepage during prime times).
(4) If you want more homepage exposure, release chapters during non-prime times, such as afternoon (13:00-15:00) or in the evening (16:00-18:00).

Keep in mind, this is dependent on timezone. Even the days of a week, to a lesser extent.

I know that... I didn't include the time zone because it makes the calculations complicated. But at least she/he can estimate her/his own time zone based on general time patterns, for example, 6 PM in Thailand = 7 AM in the US.
