Anyone else search up keywords relating to their story to see if someone out there is talking about their novel?

Every time someone brings this up (about once every four months or so) I do. Find almost nothing, every time. (Mostly due to using fairly common names, or names that were used by others - Pyrroth, for example, is a location on the Pathfinder world of Golarion (with permission), a character in World of Warcraft, and a world I created back in the 80s - and a search for that somehow usually turns up Pierroth, both a big name in the German wine industry and in European medical circles).

Don't look for it if you don't want to see people talking shit about your book or how you belong in Hell.

I'm not sure. Isn't it difficult to check whether a novel is being discussed by readers, especially without a fandom? We know that SH readers are generally silent readers.
I just figure, as good as yours is, and your success so far, once you hit the "Rising Author" status, you'll start trending. In fact, that's the best way to see how you're doing. Check on the front page "View More" under "Trending" and then "Rising" (weekly or daily) and see where "Blood Rose" comes up. If you're under #100, I'd say that's very good news.

Actually, it's kind of funny but, when I Google "Scribbe Hub" and "furry", I'm essentially dominating the results right now. Which is a little sad because I thought we would have a lot more furry authors here.

I check every few weeks, mostly just to ensure that no one is posting it without permission. Mostly just turns up reddit and where I actually publish, though I've filed a few DMCA requests over the last few years.

My book shares a name with an album by The Clientele, which I hadn't heard of until I Googled my title. I see the various Reddit posts I've made and then just nothing but The Clientele lol.

All hail our furry overlord!

I did so once and found it hilarious that a few other bot sites took my story that I had already deleted a few months before from the first bot site.

Well, I'm too cute to be an overlord.
I'll settle for "Scribble Hub Queen of the Furries"

Now, go forth and get me a feesh.

Quick question, do cat girls count on the furry category? I had someone ask me that and I didn't know the answer

Of course they count! Any creature that has any semblance at all to any living animal is considered a furry. *^^* Catgirls, tanukis, kitsune's, dragon-girls, all are furries. In fact, I was taking a peek at your book earlier. *^^* It's adorable and I'm so adding that to my reading list.

As conceited this may sound, I look at times if my first story got in any way closer to becone Nr.1 in views on any of its many tags. Right now, only "medieval" seems like a very distant, possibly achievable dream. It's frustrating in the regard that two of my other stories got to be rank one, but my originl prime remains there.
Hah, I know.
I'm terrible.
