Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on my first story published online, titled Lonely Castle in the Mirror: THE NINTH PERSON, here on Scribble Hub. It's a psychological/fantasy piece with some mystery and emotional themes.

Since this is my first time sharing my writing publicly, I know my writing style might still be a bit rough. So if anyone would be willing to give some feedback or thoughts, I’d really appreciate it!

Recently, a few people have reached out to me offering to do art based on the story. While I’m curious and excited about the idea, I’m also not sure how to handle it — especially since I’m not sure if the offers are genuine or if I should be cautious.

Also, just to clarify: this story is fan fiction, so I’m also unsure about the best way to handle art or collaborations in that context.

So I figured I'd reach out to the community:

  1. Has anyone here received similar messages about fan art or cover art?
  2. What do you think is the best way to approach this?
  3. And if anyone is interested in beta reading or just chatting about the story, I’d love to connect with others who enjoy these kinds of themes.
Just to clarify, I've only written two chapters so far (about 2,000 words in total), and to my surprise, the story already has around 60 views. I'm honestly a bit shocked (in a good way!), and I’m wondering if that’s a common experience for new writers here.

Do you think I should aim for longer chapters or just keep going at my own pace? I’m completely new here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance!

Always has been.

Block the user and report. They will try so sell you AI-art slops.

You can join the SH Discord. I think @Alski has the link.

Just keep posting. More readers will come. But first you need to convince some of them you won't be going to abandon your story.

Thank you so much for the warning about the AI art stuff — I’ll definitely be careful.

I’m interested in the SH Discord! I’m not sure how to join yet, but I’d love to connect with more people who are writing too.

Also, you mentioned that it’s important to show readers that I won’t abandon the story — that makes a lot of sense!

Do you think I should say that in the story notes or in the story description? What’s the best way to let readers know I plan to keep going?

I’m still figuring out how things work here, so I really appreciate your advice!
