I will give you a quote by Indonesian "sage" named Buya Hamka that keeps me going even without gas at times.

"One of the cruelest diminutions in life is allowing a brilliant mind to become a slave to a lazy body, one that prioritizes rest before it is even tired."

Show the world the diamond of your soul! Powerrr!

There's a Filipino saying...

"Pag gusto, madaming paraan.
Pag ayaw, maraming dahilan."

Which translates to...

"If you want to, there are ways.
If you dislike it, there are excuses."

So yeah, if you will make it a priority to write, you can find ways to get over the rut.

MARITIME SOUTHEAST ASIA MENTIONED ⚓⚓⚓

There's a quote by Indonesia's most respected president who may or may not have been betrayed by his country after digging it out of a massive hole following the fall of a 30+ year long dictatorship:

"Learn to say your graces for everything good in life. Learn to be strong in the face of everything bad in life."

You dont like writing, or dont like what you are writing.
That is it.
I am having the same problem. I usually write 2000 to 5000 words a day. Now I am down to a few lines couse my story feels weird (apocaliptic horror in modern day with a lot of weird stuff mixed in).

No you dont. You are lying to yourself. When you really like something you dont procrastinate. Have you ever procrastinated on a video game that you enjoy? Or food? Or sex?
I guess the answer is no.
I like writing. I like the story I am writing (In my head), but when it comes to sit down and writing it, ehhhh, not so much.
I am not atempting to demoralize you. I am trying to offer another point of view, so you can find a solution amd push forward.
In this case it works if you force your self to write. Like you are forced to work (I dont know what you do, but we all are forced to work one way or another).
For example, find something you really like and you enjoy, if you dont cover your daily "quota" for writing, that is gone, is a punishment system.
anyway, hope you find a solution for your "problem".
I am writing now, 500 words down and moving on.

My guess is that the editing and proofreading are your problem, not the writing itself - writing is easy, making it something others can read without wanting to bash out someone's brains (sometimes their own, sometimes the author's, sometimes just ANY brains) is the hard, and tedious, part.

The only solutions are:
1) give up (at least for now - maybe one day you'll be ready) or
2) Practice and keep at it.

There are no other practical options (though many seem think #3 is "Go on the internet and gripe about it")

In my case because of my mood swings and inspiration, its hectic, but I did managed to have a 100,000 word story and still in progress RN, increments comes a long way, bursts of inspiration and my crooked discipline comes hand in hand

I procreated, and now the kid is in school, but it's only 3 hours five days a week, and I still have to do all the things I did before, and I have to do laundry more frequently, and there are many other things I've been putting off.

I try to write every day, even if it's just a few words, especially if I have an idea for something different.
