I have posted my story on a lot of different sites with varying results.
Primary story-hosting or writing platforms
  1. ScribbleHub
  2. RoyalRoad
  3. Inkitt
  4. Wattpad
  5. Scribophile
  6. DeviantArt
Websites or platforms where I’ve posted or showcased my work
7. Squarespace (My site)
8. Reddit (sharing excerpts or links)
9. BookTok (TikTok for books/writers)

That makes six main writing platforms, plus three additional promotional/community spaces — nine total places where my stories have appeared in some form.

Has anyone done this as well?

I made this thread for this exact reason. I hope it helps and that you can add some useful information to it!

I can tell you, I've found DeviantArt isn't for writers, although they have a section for submitting stories.
Inkitt has virtually no interaction either.
RoyalRoad members don't seem to engage with your story, unless you write LitRPG-based novels. I have over 3000 views on that site from non-members, but only members can comment or rate submissions.
Wattpad is encouraging, but I haven't finished posting my entire novel there.

I'm still learning about other sites.

I generally throw mine anywhere I can, though because I try to stay within the ruleset and my stories can be somewhat dire that list is somewhat shorter. Presently its scribblehub, wattpad, storiesonline, and AO3. But I'll probably stop on wattpad soon since it seems like theres no way for anyone to ever find a new story on it.

Perhaps I should try deviantart. I do already have an account and art posted there. Do you have any success there?

I'm on the waiting list for AO3 for a couple of weeks, it seems.

I started here.
Reposted one story to Royal Road (got one review, at Chapter 4 out of 21 IIRC, that still amuses me; in a nutshell "Author did what he set out to do. I didn't like it."), and did one story as an original there (only response was a scrubber site making an unauthorized audio version), which is now here.
Posted one story on HoneyFeed.
Posted two to PocketFM.
