After being offline for some time, login in I found a message saying they love my story and hope to see new chapter coming out soon, the same story that is also complete, i haven't updated story status since the story was on scheduled. But the story had an afterwords and author note and everything.

I just got my very first scammer sliding into my private messages. ?

I think this means my book has officially “made it,” I mean, you’ve got to be doing something right if even the scammers are taking notice, right? ?

Funny thing is, I actually ran into quite a few of these art bots/scammers back when I was on Twitch. Some of them were almost clever, they’d make small talk, become “friends,” and then drop the inevitable art pitch once they thought they had you hooked.

Sadly, this scammer didn’t even try to flatter me before going straight for the sales pitch. No smooth talking, no fake compliments about my work, just a cold, hard “buy my art” approach. Disappointing, really.

Someone like that came up to me too. Actually, there were two of them, on the same day. They mentioned liking my work and wanting to make fan art.

I talked to both of them, and I really thought it was some kind of AI. Then we got on Discord with one of them; I ended up ignoring the other because I found it suspicious.

And this individual talked about various points in my story, mentioning some of the main characters and their approach. I thought it was quite interesting, until I started asking hundreds of dollars.

I refused, they kept insisting, and I kept refusing until they gave up.

Damn, you’ve got way more patience than me. I wouldn’t have even made it as far as getting on Discord with them, I’d have noped out the second they asked to chat off-site.
